Tekin RX8/T8 2000kv on Kershaw Designs 4s 7000mah Lipo's pushing 40+ mph (On GPS) with stock spur and 20t pinion.
Typically run an 11t hot racing hardened steel pinion for pure crawling, also have the stock 14t and a 17t.
Dual Savox SA1230SG's 500 oz/inch EACH using the CC BEC
21 Nichia LED's 28 Lumen each total of 588+ Lumen powered by a 11.1v 3s 1200mah Lipo.
Black Rit-dye Chassis and LT Rockers, Green Blaze Pastidip Exo-cage.
Cut Trencher X's on Axial 8 Hole wheels, Also have cut w/ no foam Mudslingers on black Desperado's and stocker's of course.
Custom painted flat black summit body w/ silver on the underside to show through after scratching.
Avid bearing's in differentials and hubs, stainless steel drive shafts and custom drilled hardened steel spider gears cut from the output pinions you receive with the spider gear replacements. There's a few small things I left out but I think that's about it LOL......
This is what the LED's look like in action..I have added 3 LED's to the front bumper since so another 90 lumen. LOL (This is the old body.)

With great brushless comes great responsibility.

I'm not krazy. My mother had me tested.
Very sick.

Very cool.. Really dig the green exo cage.![]()
Nice rig. How do the foam-less mud slingers crawl? It is obvious you like running 6s lipos, those trenchers look well worn.![]()

i have been gone for a while...but where did you get the green dust boots on your drive shafts?.......painted?
summit /mustang /stampede-2s spc lipo
If it got dark you wouldn't even notice with all those LED's!![]()
Slugs are just naturally aspirated snails
It crawls better cut with no foams...they really dont have alot of use yet so they aren't as good as the cut trencher x's as they are verry soft after some good abuse. IMO if you have ther servos to turn wide tires get the x's and beat them until the foams start to give up, then cut the small lugs out. They actually rival the stock canyons as they put a larger patch down.

Blaze Green Plastidip sprayed into a small container and mixed with the clear plastidip to thicken (makes it brushable). Spin the axle and brush on multiple coats. As plastidip is rubber based it actually makes the boots stronger and thicker. Grab the make your own color kit and make them virtually any color you see fit.

Yeah they actually blind you when facing anywhere in your direction..

What broke, uh, needs upgrading now?

What did you do for the water proofing of the 1230`s?
To SUMMIT up, its my coolest RC.
They were coated with liquid black tape. .now I found (After disassembling them.) they are fully gasketed so I dielectric greased the seams. I am also considering clear plasti diping them but since the grease has been on them there has been no moisture inside. They have been completely submerged but it was very brief. I will throw a post up if I have issues or the next time a gear fails and give my review on just dielectric grease. Just to give Northern a heads up these servo gears are not all steel there are two (What I consider) sacrificial gears which are brass that don't necessarily break but wear to the point that the gears are no longer meshed. My brother in law has a nearly identical set up..the gears failed within 2 days of each other. He is a genious and found a plastic gear replacement due to the savox gear set being 30 bucks these are 10 bucks for 6 of them. Im not at liberty to annouce the exact brand or gear we buy but buying the entire savox gear set is a bit ridiculous.

^^Summit Kawasaki Edition and E-revo VXL^^
Thanks for the heads up on the gears.
Any reason you chose two savox 1230`s? one for me is way more powerfull than the stock setup.
Although I am a fan of overkill![]()

With an aluminum bell crank...the spring removed and a solid shim to replace it..you pretty much turn whenever you want to..Diff locked and tires pinched it just slides the truck or pushes the rock....LOL Yeah it's a bit over kill, but I was tired of watching the bell crank move and the tires not turn and figured two would be better.

To help minimize tire ballooning, buy your tires unmounted, buy some Gorilla Tape, turn tires inside out and apply two wraps of Gorilla Tape. This won't stop ballooning, but it will minimize it. I did this with my Tekin powered Summit, and it helped alot.

truck looks sick man! love the lights and LOVE the green cage! bought a spare cage to do that with but its just been sitting on the shelf :P
Awesome Looking Rig![]()
green on black looks good....how does the roll cage paint hold up in a rollover?
Thanks...it holds up ok, just depends on where you run. I have rolled it hundreds of times and the pics above are from last weekend. Top of the cage is the worst, but that's to be expected. Btw its plasti-dip not paint..I think I should have let it cure a couple weeks before running it.

Traxxas should sell the roll age in white, so we can dye it. Just saying.....
Why not ask traxxas that? I think you could talk to them by customer support. When you dye plastic vs painting is the fact that dye doesn't rub off like paint. I think RPM should make a white cage for the summit that can be dyed bit they don't.
