Can u run a single 775 sized Summit motor setup on a brushed Emaxx?
Yes you can do that, you can even run two if you want to.

personally if your going to make the change from 2x550's i'd go with the dewalt and not the 775.

What is a dewalt? A drill motor??
One is good, two can be run but I think it's too much on the esc, yes it's a drill motor 820 size. Kershaw designs is a popular place for them, with the motor mount

Yes... about the same price as a new 775 but much more durable, replaceable brushes, more torque, and can be geared heavier.

I would get the Dewalt, It is a far better motor and lots of people run them so there is lots of info for install help.

You never specified which E-Maxx version you have ....
However
The Kershaw motor mount only works on the older 3906 tranny
The summit motor mount will fit all the newer E-Revo/E-Maxx trannies, so will the brushless E-Maxx mount
They use the same gearbox, just different motor mount plates

I could be mistaken, but I think the Summit/Revo mounts will not work as they mount the motor on the opposite side of the transmission.

The 775 motor will not fit on the newer grey 3905/3903/3908 E-Maxx transmission with the single motor mount. The motor can is too big and the transmission case gets in the way. It will not fit the dual motor mount either. The E-Revo and Summit have the transmission installed in the frame 180 degrees around from the way the E-Maxx has it, so the motor mounts away from the transmission, with nothing below it to keep it from bolting up.

i dont know what e-maxx you are running. but here is my 3906. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZYDY4xzikY. it does have a aluminum chassy with a e-revo tranny/mount ( i dremeled area to make e-revo tranny fit). im only running a 775 titan. but i believe the dewalt would work in my style. i did take out my differentials, and turn them upside down so there going in reverse direction since the motor is going in opposite direction from a stock e-maxx.

You have the motor mounted like an E-Revo/Summit. On the grey transmission E-Maxx, 3905/3903/3908, it goes on the other way. The OP hasn't specified if he has a 3906.

What gearing is good if you run the titan 775 and spur 68 and with nimh batteries 5000 mah?
I'm running 18t pinion with 68 spur in my 3906, (should be similar performance if motor was in a newer e-maxx). it is a 775/evx2 on 4s. I do not speed with it. So i have no idea on top speed.

Thanks ajcar and snoopmaxx I have run the e maxx titan 775 spur 68 pinion 20 and 21 and the motor is getting very hot so what is the limit in degress and farhenheit for the titan 775 does the brushed motor have a limit like the brushless?
Try and keep motor/ esc under 150°, If you have lipos, keep under 120°.
I aim for under 130 and under 100.
Using the dewalt and just started on the 30/64 for the 3906. Been running 28/64 for quite a while, Over 2 year.

The main reason for me is safety, The other reason is performance. Temps effect the performance quite dramatically due to the internal resistance increasing, which effects the discharge rate. Anything electrical that's cool (not cold!) will have better efficiency, than it would while hot.
and the hotter packs age quicker.

Some chargers show internal resistance results, and take notes. The higher it goes the poorer the pack becomes.
I feel a lot safer knowing the temps, but still check the internal resistance once per fortnight. Maybe twice if I'm walking by the charger.
To figure out the discharge rate from the internal resistance results is a complicated equation.
