EVX-2 can't disable LVD!

Hi, my friend purchased a used e-maxx, seem like it stuck in LVD enable mode "green", and won't turn it to "red".
I turn on the esc, it's green and NiMH batteries plugged in, hold set button for more than 10 secs but nothing happen, release and esc just turn off. Try again with 2x2s lipos and same problem.
The motors run fine with NiMH with "green" mode, but it won't move with lipos??? Anyway, I am not planning to use lipos so just wonder how to disable LVD so i can use NiMH

Are you sure the esc has lvd? If you can run the car with nimh the lvd must be off.

Only the newer EVX-2 has a built in LVD / LiPo mode. The ESC will
Say on it "LVD". If it doesn't, it's the older EVX-2.

My EVX-2 was doing the same thing and Traxxas sent me a new one. Their customer support is AWESOME!

I'm sure it is EVX-2 with LVD, stock 3903 model.

@little Smokey: did you buy it new and have receipt? I bought this emaxx used so I don't think they will replace my without any fee

I bought it new, though, Traxxas didn't ask for a receipt. It was covered under the limited lifetime warranty. Call them up, it depends on who you talk to, but the worst they can say is no.

Maybe i will give it a try, however how bad if I keep running Nimh in "green" mode?
