Sway Bar Kit question

Picked up the sway bar kit 6898 this afternoon and installed it on my Rally. Seems the front has some clearance issues, nothing major, just rubs the front bumper. Anyone else had this same issue?

I don't have that issue, that is very odd...

I will say this much even with the slight rub on the front bumper, it corners so much better with them on the truck.

It does help a lot, but thats weird, I've never heard of rubbing before.

Are you sure its installed correctly? Or is it the wrong model?

Bought the 6898 kit. That's what it called for. I have the links mounted toward the end of the bar. I could pull them in some, but I worry about the front end have steering issues if the sway bar is to tight.

Show me some pics if you have them, maybe I can see if I fed something up.

You could try to shave a little off with a dremel, your rally needs a bath. Or you could also just remount the endlinks farther up the sway bar.

Yes, bath, very true. Too much fun to drive we have no time for bath.

May try moving the links in.

Yup, going to change the truck over to a slash. So I'll be losing the big Rally Bumper soon. Seems to have not gotten any worse.

Changing to a rally in disguise, you'll love it I have mine set as a slash, a lot more versatile.

I ran all the tread off the stock tires already. Went and picked up a set of Slash tires. Lov'n the extra ground clearance, plus I love the look of the SC trucks. The **** bodies are pricey!!!

Glad you like it! I actually have not run mine as a rally. I have every part but the body to run mine as a rally.

Those threaded links are adjustable. You can turn the ends out some to give more clearance, which you should to to make sure you have full suspension travel. Also, you can reverse the ball end mount to put the sway bar link in farther away from the bumper.

I need to mess with it some more, had thought about trying a couple of things you suggested, but to much fun to run, that I hate to have it on the bench to long.
