How can I make my E-Maxx faster?

I purchased an E-Maxx last year and love how it handles the grass and dirt roads. I occasionally tear it up on the asphalt and was wondering if there is any way of making it go faster. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks

You can get different pinion gears for a higher gear ratio which means more speed, but be careful higher ratios generate more heat. An overheated motor and ESC can permanently damage them.

    Did you say Traxxas?

    Yes with or without lipos.

pinion/spur gears, Lipo's, Brushless set up if it hasn't got brushless motor

Go brushless just make sure you get a 1/8 scale motor and esc. I got a cheap $100 set up with 2 2 cell lipos for around $50 my set up is good for around 40 mph and about 35 min of run time. I got a 120 amp esc and 2100 kv motor

Also you should have an optional spur gear that comes with the E-Maxx. I should of explain this more early, but the more teeth a pinion gear has and the less teeth a spur has, the faster it will go. Brushless is the best choice since you have to a work with one pinion gear instead of two. Both pinion gears must have the same teeth if your E-Maxx is brushed.

It'll also depend on your definition of faster.
geared for top speed won't get fast acceleration, geared for fast acceleration won't get top speed.
