The reason I asked about the towers is, they were meant for on road, not off road bashing. If the do hold up to the abuse the pede sees, then that is a big win for huma...

have you thought about running 2.8" mashers on the 3.2" rims. A guy recently posted some in his build thread and they look pretty sick.

Nice!! I'm also thinking of buying a spare 12mm wheels/tires preglued just like what you have and then buy the traxxas 12mm hex http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Traxxas-...item4d0e0b184f I prefer this one due to the threaded pin screw.

Careful: Those Hexes are for 6mm axles. There is a product from Hot Racing with pin screw. Wheels and Tires are the Proline Trenchers on the picture.

not until you drill it to 6mm, that's what that drill bit is for and my stubs are 6mm from XO-1.

Ah ok. Didn't know that. But on the Traxxas Website it is written : "6mm drill bit is included to modify wheels"

the popularity of XO-1 spline driveshafts can be fitted to slash 4x4/rally 1/10 as long as you go with XO-1 c-hubs/carriers or buy a 6x11mm bearings to accept the 6mm Xo-1 stub axle. now, with this 12mm hex you can easily drill it to fit the 6mm stub.

did some changes from the previous pic above, can you tell what I did?

also I did this to prevent the shaft from rubbing

taller ball ends from my REVO links.

Ah you flipped the rear a-arms so the shocks mount at the back side.

yep, I find it easy to adjust or take the shocks out that way

I also made a ESC tray for my upcoming LOSI branded Castle MMP ESC/2800, first I made a template out of a plastic board then trace it to the aluminum plate.

    template

I put a nitro fuel tubing inbetween the 2 screws for any vibration, just incase,

    actual ESC plate

I make sure its level with the chassis

I also eliminate my wheelie bar and put the wheelie wheels at the bumper and with enough spacer I got it to almost as wide as it used to be.

I don't know how this would perform doing wheelies, i'm about to find out then later

The drill bit included with the hexes are to make the hole in the wheel slightly larger to fit over the 2-3mm of shaft that the hex doesn't cover.

you have to make sure you drill the wheels perfectly in the center otherwise they won't center and will wobble.

looking good! I put my wheels on the bumper too and they work great. You really don't need those spacers, it seems like that will cause the screw to bend over time. I also like that you mounted the shocks backwards, I did my Backsl4sh the same way.

Your p4de looks really nice and well built so far. I like the idea of moving the wheels from the wheelie bar to the bumper; I may try it myself.

thanks for all the comments fellas

I received my Mashers tires today and this thing is HUGES lol. I just mounted one in the wheel now but, now I have a Question, do I have to trim the foam's edge? also the revolver wheels don't have hole? do I have to drill one hole on each one of them?

I always seal the holes in the wheels but you get better dampening with holes. There are also many people prefering to make 2 holes on opposite sides in the center of the tires instead. Due to centrifugal force it will help keeping dirt and water out.

Trimming the foams will make the tires softer. e.g. i star cut the foams for my crawler tires

OK, I guess i don't have to trim the foam and drill 1 hole on each wheels and I got all the tires clean/washed and gorilla taped it for no ballooning

tires turned inside out with the foam inside for easy taping

gorilla taped rolled twice with an inch overlap

all glued up and ready for bashing

I don't know if I really want to run this tires though, its almost as tall as my REVO tires and the width is about the same.
Maybe I'll pick up some 2.8 instead and stick with 12mm.

Looks like I'm going over budget on this one LOL. I have a budget of $380 on this build and so far I have spend $340, I'm not including my spare Tekno M6 set and XO-1 c-hub/carriers/17mm adapter as they are my spare parts
still got to buy the body and paint..... maybe wing/wing mount?

Wow! Those tires are huge on that p4de. If you do decide to run them you will have to keep a close eye on the temps. What shell are you looking to buy?

it sure is, I might use this for my REVO as a spare and grab a 2.8". as for the shell, I'll get the Raptor.
