this truck is a true fun little truck, no doubt in deed I've been taking it to work just so I can run it after I get off work lol.

I finally have a castle usb link and I've been missing around with the settings, sad to say the losi branded MMP only have the 1.39 version which really not very responsive when playing with the throttle, like if you do a quick throttle trigger the truck has this steady roll and it wont let you do wheelies but if you do it slow trigger then the torque kicks in and can do wheelies.

I dont know if losi will ever updates all the bug fixes or is that something Losi have to inform castle and from there castle will update it for them, either way Losi should have all the firmware available just like the real MMP, IMO.

So this means you can only use 1.39 firmware? Can you load 1.32, that's the best firmware, JMO

The reason I'm asking is, I was under the impression that you could load different firmware with the Losi branded MMP.

what I did was, I went to castle site and download their latest current castle link version 3.56.05 and now that I have it, both my MMM ESC can access all the firmware but with the Losi one I don't have much choice, I cant even go back to v1.32 and I think that's what I have the first time. maybe i'll contact castle and inform them.

Thanks for replying back. I read on a different forum that it was able to accept all castle firmware versions. It must be true I read it on the internet.

I hope you can get it resolved.

I never had issues with the stock plastik motor mount. So what is the reason for upgrading to an aluminium one?

Because it dissipates heat better and stops side flex on the chassis when you are running powerful brushless systems plus a bigger bearing or ceramic bearing lasts longer than stock.......peace

I never had problem with mine either my Rally GT8 still on stock motor mount running on 4s but, it has the aluminum bearing adapter. I bought one for P4de for stability and help the heat dissipates, also going to install the aluminum bearing adapter that I received today

Sweet body. How do you paint it? Those lines are nice and straight. Looks a bit complicated for a tape mask job. Much better than what I could ever do. Keep uppping the hops.

I redid my ESC tray, my previous one being only held by the servo screws, it was not stable enough for my liking. this one has a bend at the end act like a leg and countersunk a screw to go straight to the chassis to give it even more stability.

I like everything I've done and all but, with the ESC acting all stubborn, I have to get rid of it and get the real one, no more look a like ESC for me. its so restricted it terms of tuning.

and to all you folks out there thinking of getting the MMP look a like..... just to get it for few bucks cheaper.......DO NOT buy it....get the real one or you'll regret buying it.

its been a week now since I have not run my P4de, I have not found a replacement ESC and cant decide of which one to get anyway, with rain coming up I might get the WP-SC8 or just get a MMP (a true MMP). i'm also thinking/considering of selling it......

I use a Leopard branded WP-SC8 in my 1/16 Mustang and it works great in that one. I have seen two WP-SC8s go up in smoke which had to work harder that the one in my Mustang. I have been very satisfied with my MMPs (I have owned three of them) and never saw an MMP go up in smoke. Except for the one I have used in my Bandit they became a bit wet every now and then and never had an issue with them.

Since the wheels are outside the body, the ESC doesn't get wet easily in the Pede. It's a different story when you want to go through deep puddles.

Castle ESCs are not the cheapest, but they are definately top quality.
