What precautions have to be after using the Water?
1. Take off body and kind of shake it off a little from different positions.
2. Get compressed air and gently blow off the e-maxx.
3. Use a hair dryer to gently dry it off not too much heat too close.
4. inspect the e-maxx.
5. have fun get it wet.
6. repeat above steps.
You should also use wd-40 on anything that could rust like bearings, turnbuckles, screws (not all them), etc. I also hear some people use something similar to wd-40 only that it dries better and stuff won't stick to it that easy like. I can't remember what its calledso hopefully some else can tell you it. One last thing is you may want to re-oiled the bearings as well.
Did you say Traxxas?
Yes with or without lipos.
run it, wet dry whatever, put it away - repeat. I have been doing that for years and nothing went wrong for me...
Maybe the screws might get rusty.. who cares. its a toy
Traxxas please sell kits!
Ok, thanks guys.
Clean well with running water, let it dry and apply WD40
Not enough space here
Screws rust, the gears in the tranny and diffs rust, bearings rust. I spray it down with WD concentrating on the ends of the truck, making sure to get the axle carrier bearings. then i let it air dry, flip it over every now and then to keep water from pooling in the batttery trays or driveshaft wells.
Also, if u didnt seal your tires, u need to get the water out of them, the best way is to cut holes in the tread pattern, 180 degrees from each other and stand it upside down and give it about quarter throttle. and do it by someone u dont like cause the water will fly out of em.
If your tires arnt sealed, the water in them will either rot the foams, destroy your bearings being out of balance, or both.
Also makes them heavier and will kill your motor.
Some things but not alot.
