No indoor track for you guys? Weve got it. 16 laps for a two mile baby! I also love running through snowy streets, alot of fun. Last year we had a guy who ran like a 1530 5k. He was awesome. im down into the 17s now. training mindset: hour of pure pain for weeks of satisfaction. keep that in mind

My school doesn't have indoor track..I'm sure I could go run with collage kids, but I'd get beaten, severely..lol.. I usually take winter off from running. Hoping to get a job so I can pay for some stuff that I need and that I want.
We've only got 2 meets left then we are done for the season. I think I'll run until it becomes snowy or too cold.
God is good.
I have 4 more meets, I am just not going to share anymore till I finally get the times I know I can do....

We have this weekend off! It was nice to sleep in...for a little bit.
Good luck on your times!
God is good.
I have yet to break 18:00 my past 2 meets, I have yet to come within 30 seconds of my PR last year....

You guys are putting me shame with your times, especially you solly.... we just had our last meet on Saturday, and boy was it a muddy one.. I ran faster than my PR by less than half a second.. talk about a lucky one.. if it wouldn't have been so muddy, and I would have had spikes, I know for a fact that I could have beaten it my a minute and half.. PR is 20:30![]()
God is good.
Don't be put to shame, the people running around 19-20 are the healthiest and run the least risk of getting injured.![]()

2001 tmaxx, 2012 1/16 erevo vxl
So I clicked off a 5:30 mile on my last repeat at practice today, at least I know I can still run a mile without having breathing problems....![]()

We never did mile repeats. We did do a a tempo run.. Which I thought was fun.. You jog for 200 meters nice and slow, then you pick it up pretty good for 200 meters, then you repeat that. We did this for like 2 miles..
God is good.
this was on tues. it was killer. 1600 5 sec slower than race pace. 1200 racepace. 1000 racepace. 800 racepace. 400 10 seocnds faster. mile faster than first. all out 400. all with equal rest.

I never time myself, I just until I'm about to throw up or pass out. Do one hard run each week and rest throughout the rest of the week. Just doing some light jogs. The next week my power/endurance is increased.
Matthew 7:7
I could do maybe 2 of them at 6:15 or below mile repeats.. Seeing how I usually average a 6:00-6:15 in a race...I would be dead.. From th sounds of it, you have a fast team?
Solly, that doesn't sound like fun.
God is good.
yeah its not. we were goin 540 pace too

Solly, I have a question for you. What pace do your coaches want you to run for a recovery run? I didn't know how it compared to my coaches requirement of 7:15 or faster.

My fastest mile was a 5:55.. But that was in like 9th grade and I'm now 11th.. Haven't done timed miles or repeats since.
