I bet if you had a 1/10 Summit you would find a way to make room. At one time I would carry my stock Summit in my backpack leaving it half zipped. While driving OVERKILL up some old logging roads behind my house. Now both Summits are around 30lbs each so no more carrying them.
The 1/16 Summit is a fast fun little truck but in a camping situation the 1/10 would be much better.

A little off subject but worth a mention . After a few emails I convinced Medic to to review some LEM upgrades. This is the video of the unboxing .

Saw that vid and the LEM stuff looks amazing
Too much power is just enough
After installing the slipper clutch eliminator I quickly snapped the front and rear drive shafts. You can hear the front shaft snap around 29 seconds in .I ordered 2 of the round axle shaft ends #tra 5653 . I'm gonna try running a stock plastic axle in the rear.

That's awesome great build. I about to sheds some tears after missing those diff cases for that price. I paid $50, I'd do just about anything to stop my diff from being destroyed. Just from an rx8 2250kv and trenches x tires. I have rebuilt the entire diff with hr parts. Have some avid ceramics arriving Monday for the pinion, hoping it holds. What all have you done to keep yours from shredding?
The main thing keeping my diffs together would have to be the LEM upgrades. Second would be that I no longer try back flips with a 30lb Summit. Throttle control and turning up punch control also helped. Its my opinion that shock load is the main killer of diffs . Many people say the pinion bearing blows because its spinning to fast and seizes up . That doesn't make sense because there's 2 pinion bearings and I've only ever seen the inner bearing fail. Also when rebuilding the diff they should be butter smooth . If not you need to tear it down and shim somewhere. Hope this helps .

Shock load? So you think preload or stiff springs could effect the diffs?
sweeeeeeeeet. get that on a t-shirt!!

Bought an Integy snowplow several months ago. Its got the blade for the Xmaxx which is 2 inches wider than the Summit blade. Added some pulleys and Integy winch with remote to raise and lower.
