Broke My Wrist.....

Well, I broke my wrist yesterday after school. I was doing a wheelie on my dirt bike and I lost control and fell backwards off the bike. I ruined my handlebar grips, destroyed all of my new black plastics on the left side of the dirt bike, and I also destroyed the foot peg. Here is what my wrist looks like:

herd of a kid at my school not to long ago.he was wheelieing down the street and a car pulled out infront of him(my guess the driver didnt see the guy due to the buss being parked on the side of the road)
from what the chat said he flew quight a bit and took out a chain link fence....

That's nothing compared to what I did. Breaking the strongest bone in the human body.. Spiral fractured my right femur. I had to get a metal rod and two screws drilled into my bone to get it straightened back out. That was a long year.. 3rd grade when I did that too.

Playing football. It was the last game and we were warming up, running through plays, etc..

Just picture this.... There's a bunch of people coming right towards me, I'm just standing there.. I get hit, my right foot gets planted since I had cleats on, and I'm spun at least 180 degrees, hear a crackle, snap, pop and then insta pain! Worst golf cart/car ride I've ever had.

If you just put your foot down and try and turn around without moving your foot, you can feel where the pressure goes. Don't hurt yourself doing this!

Thanks guys. Yeah, this is the first bone i have ever broke so it really sucks!! Hahaha Doc said i had some pretty strong forearms though!!

Ouch. Broken bones are a small price to pay to live like there's no tomorrow. Keep up on your wheelies, you'll get er down pat.

You know... It just feels hella painful and the pain gradually increases. I broke it at 3:30 pm and I didn't get into surgery until 7:30 pm. The doctor said i was one of the toughest boys he has seen though because I didn't really break down in tears until all my family showed up and i was told i needed to go into surgery.

One thing you will need to develop if you already don't and many of us don't, is patience... It's going to take some time, then you are going to have to go through some physical therapy to develop your muscles back as they are going to atrifeed/shrink a little.....

Sounds like you're hanging in there like a Big Dawg. All the best, listen to the Dr. Gotta cast on right? It may get itchy after a bit... Be forwarned, DON"T SCRATCH IT WITH ANYTHING!!! You can make a real mess out of it....

I'm speaking from experience... Broken my wrist, have had one knee blown out (different time), nose has been busted 3 times from sparring and one time water skiing.

... Still alive and kicking at 49 and can keep up with the kids pretty well

I wish you a speedy recovery,,, but be patient... You really don't have a choice now in that part.

ajcar, I havent touched my rc remotes in a couple months. Thinking about selling my Summit and Slash too.

I actually don't have a cast on!! I have a splint and wrap cause right now I have a 4 to 6 inch titanium plate and a pin in my arm. On October 29, I am going to get a couple X-Rays so I can see what the pin and all looks like, then the pin is coming out. Ill just have to wear a Velcro wrist brace after that for 3 more weeks. Got stitches out today... Here are some pics!!
