Looks great in the proper setting.
How well did it drive? Or was this merely a photo outing?
Mostly just a photo outing. I tried a little climbing and I wasn't as impressed as I wanted to be. The front tires would climb just about anything, but the rear tires wouldn't bite and pull it up so it got stuck.
Dude, great job with the entire truck. In the last picture it looks amazing.![]()
With great brushless comes great responsibility.
This is what you do when you get an inch of ice on the ground and the city comes to a standstill. Telly doesn't seem to have a problem with the ice. I need to get a decent fluid dampened mount for the Gopro. It moves around way too much.
Are you using the rubber insert?I need to get a decent fluid dampened mount for the Gopro. It moves around way too much.
I tried to do the same thing with my P4DE and ended up buying 2 scx10's in the end but it was fun trying.
The P4DE felt very held back from the true basher it wants to be lol

what gear reduction box is that ive been looking all over for it and cant find it!
what gear reduction box are you using in this beast? im working on a telli crawler and new to this stuff so far made some good cheep mods but want to gear down solid spools and gear reduction for diffs once i get those to work then updating the servo and motor keeping it brushed
Well, I finally got the Rubicon body mounted. I think I will need to trim more of the wheel wells, but I like the fit. I had to extend the front bumper out about an inch more than the Telluride body. I'm going to dye the chassis black and add some rock sliders to the side. I will probably put another roof rack on this one with lights and I want to add some powerful 5w headlamps on a relay. I like the Summit rear bumper, but I'm thinking about the wide Proline crawler bumper for the front. Maybe a winch? Overall, I think it looks pretty awesome.

You, sir, have done the Telluride some justice.
It's a good entry-level truck that's ready to go out of the box... But a little (or a lot) of creativity has sure gone a long way.
Looks great but the tires kill the scale....

Did the renegades and trencher x sc's fit the stock hubs or were modifications needed for them to fit?
I just have to know, where are these parts from?
Thank you very much. I have a rally front bumper. Just have to work on the back. Thanks again.
hope you are patient
Hehe. Yeah. I will be. Im still waiting for my summit bumpers so i really be waiting

E-Maxxdude, your rig looks great. Even more so in the proper setting.
How well does it perform?
It was pretty awesome, although I only had a few minutes to play with it in the mountains. I wish I had been able to play longer. Everything performed perfectly. Unfortunately I let my girlfriend drive my Teton and she managed to break both my driveshafts in under 5 minutes. I was going to shoot a video of the Teton following the Telluride like a little puppy, but it was not to be.
In addition to the stock LEDs, I am using two Cree X5 LEDS for the headlights. I had no trouble at all driving it at night. In fact, they are pretty blinding.
Love the pic!

First off beautiful build teluride. May i ask you guys a question? What do you use for chamber links, or lenght so i can do a search?
I have a blue 09 wrangler as my daily driver, so i guess i have to have that jeep body, lol.
I'm not krazy. My mother had me tested.
The only steps required are those outlined in the post. That hardest part was drilling out the hexes.
Thanks for the info !!!
what's a good website to get a roof rack from
This is the ProLine rack, but there are plenty of others.
Just to update this thread the Telluride turned out to be a pretty respectable trail crawler. I put 1M weight oil in the front diff and I locked the rear diff with JB Weld. With the 2.2s and large Flat Irons, it gets pretty good ground clearance. I run it with my TRX-4 and it does a decent job of keeping up. I've been powering the truck on the same Titan Marine motor for almost two years now with a 3S LiPo and it's still going strong. That's one tough motor! Not long ago I installed the diff ring and pinion gears from the brushed Stampede 4x4 to lower the drive ratio even further. Coupled with the 9T pinion on the motor and 54T spur gear, it has very respectable torque and reasonable speed on 3s.
Great update from the OP! I was going to convert my Stampede 4x4 to a Telluride, but decided I liked it too much as is, so I have gradually accumulated all the parts to build a Telluride from scratch, but in a custom fashion, including the brushed P4de gears. Mine's mostly going to be run on local walking paths, so I won't need too much diff locking. I know the Telluride has become irrelevant for most, but I'm still looking Looking forward to it. Thanks again for the follow up on your thread!
