Official Alias Video Thread
This thread is for videos of your LaTrax Alias only. If you have a question for one of the people posting a video, please send them an e-mail or a PM so the thread does not get filled up with people talking. This is a place for videos not people asking what body or tires someone is using.
When you post a video, it would be greatly appreciated of you would post a detailed summary of what hop-ups you had on your vehicle (ie. type of camera) at the time the video was taken.
Anything off topic will be deleted.
Any dead links will be deleted.
This is the first Alias Video on the Internet featuring the Alias performing funnels, twisters, drifting, sliding, finger spinning, prop grinding and anything else I could throw at it! The Alias is a true game changer. The performance is excellent and it is without a doubt the most durable Quad on the market! I edited out all of my crashes but trust me when I say I beat the heck out of it and it just kept coming back for more!

9 minutes and some change........
just flying around and testing out my camera.........

Slash 4x4 lcg(heavily modded), Telluride(modded)gone, TCP, Monster Buggy, Latrax SST(heavily modded), Spartan, "My Summit" pic of that posted in the gallery........and some other things.
Here's a night flight video my daughter and I made with a tablet. All great until the landing.
To start teaching my daughter single flips we did this:
1. put the Alias on the floor
2. put it in Fast mode by pressing the right stick
3. armed it
4. gave it a small amount of throttle
5. pressed the AUX1 button (programmed for F1) and flicked the right stick
Here's what happened:

Trying some flips while moving in Fast mode.
Very basic take off, and hover while filming with one hand.
they are really highly visible at night! i really cant believe how bright they are and this is just one more "plus" to this quad. i night fly both of my co-axials with an eight light navigation system on each. at distance and altitude i really have to pay attention to what light is in what direction, but this... you can easily tell its orientation from anywhere. it will be pretty cool once i learn to fly it, then fly it at night. awesome videos!
here is my first outdoor flight. i was a bit surprised at how easy it was for me. this is my first time flying a quad. it was a bit too docile for me in normal mode in the first two minutes, so went to exp1 in the last three which was much better for me. i had the lights off and expected a little longer flight time but it was very cold out and there was a pretty good light wind which i am sure didnt help. either way, 5 minutes if just fine and no different than my micro cp's and a few extra batteries in my pocket solves that.
this quad is awesome and i am completely happy with it!

Fly fast, Fly hard, and forget about the outcome.
been getting comfortable with the Alias quite a bit today and the more i fly it, the more impressed i am with it.
one more day flight and winds were a bit higher then the last flight...

Fly fast, Fly hard, and forget about the outcome.
and now the night flight, with no wind...
orientation at distance and altitude is absolutely no problem with this Quad. i was over 50 yards out and at or above 50 feet at times. it was calm out and gave me a chance to open it up a little. it definitely has some speed and i flew this in exp1 with the rudder rate adjusted to 75%. the piros in FFF were my own and this quad is just amazing!
Fly fast, Fly hard, and forget about the outcome.
now doing the pre-programmed stunts, and they are very cool!
Fly fast, Fly hard, and forget about the outcome.
aggressive flying with pre-programmed stunts at night...
Fly fast, Fly hard, and forget about the outcome.
I wanted to see how many flips/rolls I could do in a single battery pack. I got to 173, but I think a better pilot could easily get over 200. Especially if you fly in a more open area.
Post your video up showing how many flips you can do. Here's mine:
Traxxas, The FASTEST Name In Radio Control
Night Flight Video featuring multiple triple flips & rolls. I also backed it up and illuminated my garage door with the bright L.E.D's. 'cause I thought it looked cool.

freezing temps, gusting high winds, and blowing snow...
Fly fast, Fly hard, and forget about the outcome.
3 landings:
1. Turning radio off (should be like LVC)
2. Throttle drop to 0
3. Throttle drop to 0 (take 2)
Here is my little video. I got an alias last night and immediately took it out....first this thing flies great!! So me being me, next step was to put a camera on it. I used the key chain cam 808#16 with the lens on it, not bad for the first attempt. I need to shade the lens (to get rid of the black lines) and point the camera down a little but so far so good. It flies great even with the weight of the camera! for mounting I used the two holes in the frame on each side of the battery compartment with two screws and a small rubber band going across simple clean and effective. I will post some extra details in the main alias area but I wanted to share my video have fun flying guys![]()
Love this quad here is a video. Be sure to watch in 1080p HD and full screen. These are shot from my view (the pilots view) with gopro 3 black in full HD. Check out my YouTube channel it is all Alias all the time LOL.

and one in strong winds. I love this Quad!!
My latest video was shot outdoors in Expert mode. It features some new maneuvers I have been working on such as diving barrel rolls, fast moving flips, high angle funnels & more. Hope you like it!
Bringing out the best of the Alias in a gym. Lots of things to avoid, and a tight space to fly in.
Great videos everyone. here is another one of mine.

My first real RC was a Stampede many years ago. When I decided to buy my first quad, I had to go with the Alias. I've only been flying it for a week or so, but I'm getting there. Enjoy!
Fly fast, Fly hard, and forget about the outcome.
Here's my second Vid. Again with my 808#16 mounted on top. There's no vibration dampening of any sort. Thus the jello effect. Soon I will mount it properly on the bottom.

Hey Guys,
I put a 808 Keychain Camera #16 with a "D" wide angle lens. For under $50.00, it takes pretty good video.
