It's geared to balance trailing torque while providing just a bit of speed.

    Curious...

Why did you get this truck? A better choice would have been the 4x4 Pede if you wanted faster.

On the front of the box it says 30mph, so if you're new to the hobby and don't know Traxxas marketing, why would you think otherwise?

The Telluride will do that speed with an 8.4 NiMh battery, but you need to change the gearing. It was designed more as an all terrain vehicle which is why it's geared pretty low. Just drop in a larger pinion and you will get to 30 mph.

If you run at 30mph in a telluride, do it on flat level ground, and watch your temps. That motor will heat up like a frying pan if you do it for long.

i bought the telly because i was playing around online one night and got it for 230 bucks and i figured the price couldn't be beat the 4x4 stampede is over 400 bucks plus i have always had problems with traxxas vxl systems 1/10 and 1/16th

    i have a axial wraith and 2 scx10s so i figured this might b a good basher
