This is my Gordini Slash. I have added RPM front and rear A-arms and an RPM gearbox, VXL3 with TSM.

It is pretty basic but I did want to share the one thing I did do today, I wrapped the wiring with powerbraid mesh sleeve and tried to shrink wrap the ends. It looks ok but I think I will try it again because the shrink wrap came out a bit rough...

Not sure who you were specifically talking too. I do have a cage on my slash about 10 post up. It is the thunder tiger jackal roll cage. I bought it through dollar hobbyz for something like 12$. Love those guys they have great deals fast shipping and great customer service.

Don't want to go off topic.. but upgrade to an aluminium screw kit and no more rusted screws :-)

Do a full rebuilt, pull it completely apart and put all plastic parts in a tub of hot water with dishwashing liquid and give them a good scrub with an old paintbrush and toothbrush.

In saying that... no one likes a shelf queen.

I painted up my new proline true scale tundra last night.
Left openings for the front and rear light kit I have.

That tundra body looks amazing! I really like the color. On the The light kit note , is it actually pretty scale like light buckets and all?

No buckets or anything.. I'm just going to mount the lights behind the stickers and Shue goo them in.

Someone needs to design buckets for these true scale bodies on shapeways or something.

What did you do to your Slash today?

So we got our new 2x tqi, link, tsm + a few sensors came yesterday, then a few mounts came today, now just waiting on 6538 magnets/holders to turn up and were all set. Having 3x slashes is getting expensive.....

Getting back into RC, I've not had one since the gold pan RC10 I had as a kid. Settled on the Slash 2WD as they seemed durable and I like the idea of training mode on the esc when I let my daughter drive the truck. She's almost 3 and loves anything that jumps or crashes... Speaking of her, she picked out the body kit, not surprisingly it was the only pink one at the track yesterday LOL

Managed to get punted into the wall hard enough to break a lower front control arm, so on went a set of RPM arms. Kind of a bummer to do that first time out, but it was a fluke thing during open running of 10 or so trucks, buggies and a desert racer looking thing.

Any pointers on what I should pick up as far as specialty tools and parts to have on hand? The track doesn't have a ton of Traxxas parts, so I would rather be prepared.

It's been a long time since getting the slashes out and running them. Battled the cold and wind today but it was worth it. Even broke a rear rpm hub on the boys truck, but it was a small price to pay today.

YZEDF - If your shop is low on parts here is what i carry for racing: RPM arms and towers front and rear, rear hubs and carriers (front also, went aluminum). Only things i have broken so far, did get aluminum shock caps also.

Thank you! I've got RPM arms, aluminum castor blocks and spare front and rear hub carriers on order.

The servo died, I called up Traxxas and a new one is on the way. Kind of a bummer as we have warm weather coming through the next couple of days.

No, that does not negatively affect a LiPo battery.

Track prep today, even with the LCG chassis and all my mods I was getting traction roll in the corners. This is a new indoor carpet track by me. So today I did the fuel line trick in the shocks to lower the truck a bit more. Also lowered the body and wired in my transponder for the track. Tomorrow we race!

    Chevy pro-touring light buckets

In prep for my light kit (4-headlight's/4-tail/brake lights/4-orange turn signals/2-reverse lights) I built some light buckets for the PL Chevy Silverado Pro-Touring body.

my work firewalls block using tinypic but i'll try at home.. sorry for posting that here guys. I know it's not the right thread to post this. I can't find this forum on tapatalk so that's a writeoff for me unless someone knows how to search for it.
