What batteries

So I have a traxxas stampede and am soon getting a slash. I'm looking at getting a NiMH battery at least 3000mAh. What batteries do you recommend for under like $30 or so. Any suggestions would be great.

Oh I also have venom batteries but they don't work I don't know why. So I'm not really a fan of venom but I like duratrax and traxxas
