I'm running 2.8 badlands at the moment but they have cost me two 12t Titans. I'm geared 9/54 at present and soon to step up to a brushless set-up.

I put on a set of 2.8 desperados with Masher tires. Looks ok, less scale-ish, but they rub a lot when turning under power and when the suspension is compressed a lot (the standard 2.2s do this as well, but not nearly as bad). I wouldn't expect the body to last too long if ran a lot like this.

Its very hard on your motor to be running big 2.8 tires on the telluride.
And we thought toy grade RC's where cool...

I just put on a set of trenchers last night. Look great and grip like crazy. I hit the brakes and flipped over forward.

The body is lowered down to sit on the bumers and I cut the fenders down to prevent any wheel rubbing.

I ran for a few minutes stock with the trenchers and they seemed too heavy for the stock power/gearing. Shortly after I installed the Castle SCT + 3800K with 11/54 and it preforms fine. I could probably up the gearing a bit, but I think that I will hold off until I get used to driving the new setup and get the suspension setup.
