    Unhappy fire

    Hi, everyone.
I'm new to this. I just sent the esc and motor to traxxas. I had the Rally for 8 days. 1 battery every day.
All stock. On the 8th day after less than 10 minutes it suddenly stopped about 100 feet away. Heavy smoke. Anyone with similar experience?

    Ummm.... no.

    Hopefully no one was hurt!

What caught on fire, battery or ESC?

What kind of battery was it (chemisty, make, cells, capacity)?

    What ESC/Motor?

What kind of environment where you running in (pavement, grass, water)?

Could possibly be a bad connection at battery, could be that something began to bind in your driveline too.
Make sure to do a check through on running hardware, wheel bearings and trans rotational items.

Sorry to hear of your downtime, take time to learn more about the car and remaining parts

Everything appears to rotate smoothly. When I finish cleaning, I'll just buy a new battery and wait.

New motor, ESC and receiver. Also, a new aluminum bearing adapter. Playing in the rain. Everything works fine.

Snow storm yesterday. About 2" hard packed snow after plows went through. I had a ball with this purely stock Rally. Three packs in the snow and then 1 1/2 hours of maintenance. Not a fair trade but fun anyway.

Me, too! It was a sunny day with temps in the low 70's. I caught a little video of it, too. You can view it at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OX641...e_gdata_player
