If you need waterproof imo the mm2 is your ticket.
There are others like hobby-wing but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Get the new traxxas MXL-6s on from Dollarhobbyz. Or you can get the Caslte version one on ebay for a tad bit cheaper just doesn't have the traxxas battery connectors on them if you use traxxas batteries.

Thanks for the quick reply's guys . If I got an Esc is it hard to water proof? And also I looked at the traxxas esc MXL6 with the 2 connectors. Would It need 2 battery's to run or can it run on one?

    Thanks

I purchased the Hobbywing waterproof Sc8. My funny car motor should be here by Saturday. I already installed the ESC and I'm very happy with it. I also purchased the field programmer to go along with it. So far happy with this waterproof esc but will post more once motor and other upgrades arrive.

    +1 Hobbywing WP sc8

They have no costumer service, if you have a warranty claim good luck as they wont honer it most of the time.
There are a few happy hobby-wing people out there but anytime you buy a cheap brand to save money it comes back to bite you, then you spend that much more getting something worth having.
I went against my lhs advice and bought hobby-wing once, it will never happen again and I wont advise anyone else to purchase the products either.

Ok so if I spend 85 dollars for the traxxas funny motor I should get the MM2? cause I don't want to get ripped off because im saving money up for other things too ( truck ect.) so I don't wanna be spending a crap load of money. Could I get a mamba monster esc and waterproof it? and If so how should I waterproof the esc. Or is it just better off buying the MM2 and don't screw with luck?

    Thanks guys .

There are videos on YouTube that show how to waterproof anything. Basically you will open your ESC up and either dip the electronics in plastidip or coat everything with some silicone caulk. I haven't done it, but it looks pretty easy to do. I do believe it voids all warranties though.

Ive been watching the youtube vids also. It looks really simple. I would get the spray plasti dip though so I don't put too much on .

Okay I want this combo too. How good is the motor on only 3s? I know everybody says you really need 4s but I don't have the money to upgrade my driveshafts and all that right now.

Yes, you can use 1 battery to run this motor. I emailed Castle Creations asking them if this motor would work with 2S, the response I received was that this motor was "designed for 3S." I don't know about the MXL-6S, but the MM2 can be ran off one battery. I'm running my CC Series 1415 2400 kv motor off a single 3S.

You can run 1 battery 3S but you need to dis-connect parallel wire i did my mine get small flat screw driver slot inside the connector then pull out the wire then the other side positive/negative insert slot inside connector

With 2s and the 2400 motor, you want to gear up, at least 17/54.
To the buyer of the MXL-6s, you should have just bought a mamba 2 new for $140 since I have no idea how your warranty will work with the take off esc.

No, non of of them are WP but, you can do it yourself by dipping it on plastidip. Check it out on youtube how to.
