    2.8 Trenchers

I'm sure I could search the forum for an answer but if someone could take the time I would like to know what the part number for front and rear 2.8 premounted pl trenchers for my grandsons new platinum may be.
    It would be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

I'll be the one building it lol.
He's a good kid but just turned 10 Sunday, I'm aware many ten year old do their own builds but I dont believe he is capable yet however he can drive the heck out of them.
He took second in points last season but this will be a play(bashing) rig.
    We only race 2wd's.

1170-12 is the wider set wheels. I purchased those all the way around instead of 1 set of 1170-12 and 1 set of 1170-13.

I was looking at the rims and found this out before I ordered but thanks for the info, I know the more it looks like a monster truck the more he will enjoy it.
Now my only problem will be getting him to run a 4wd, he loves racing his 2wds and thinks the 4s are not as much fun but when he sees a monster truck I'm certain he'll be quite enthused.

Either set will work, but for the 4x4 cars you run the same offset on all 4 corners.
The wheels with the negative offset require the shocks to be set inwards or the tire will rub the shock at full lock.

This is the wheel with the nut flush to the face.

This is the wheel with the recessed nut which pushes the wheel out a bit.

Thanks, I purchased the 12s so it should be fine, my lhs should have them next Friday.
I want as much offset as possible.

I'm not certain at this point, he has a new Dodge Ram body and of course the unpainted body included with the platinum.
Then again I have a new Rally body from my scalpel build, perhaps a Rally monster car.

I have never had one issue with the 12mm hex, I feel the main advantage would be more rim asses ability, I may consider them for that reason, really liking your trenchers on those rims, very nice.
Thanks for refreshing my mind, I may put in an order for a set.

Love em, seems like these wheels fill the trenchers up better than the smaller wheel

Nice rig rraattrroodd I see where your name came from.
I was on the strc page just a few minutes ago and cant decide if I want red or silver adapters.
My scalpel has red aluminum and the platinum is of course blue.
I like the way the silver looks on your rat-rod and believe it the way I will go.

Yup, just got them yesterday but my camera is up north with my girl friend so I can't post pics until Monday or even Tuesday depending on when I pick her up and return home.
