    Esc up front mount plate.

    Greetings all,

I've been working with my slash 4*4 hcg switching to the cc 2400 dragster motor with the hwsc8.

Went with the rustler recvr box up front. Not too crazy on the tight fit between it and the servo wiring grommet exit.

Does anyone make a precut/drilled esc mount plate that would fit up front on those four holes?

Tried shoe horning the new esc between the existing rcvr box and new motor and it was too tight.

I have that same set up. I left everything in the stock locations. It's a very tight fit but it all works. Not sure how over time having the motor right up against the esc will work but for now all is good.

Having it in stock location with the hw base plate caused the mount screw to start gouging into esc body. I decided to move the receiver up front again and put the esc in the roomier location.

TRX3628 is the box needed to put the receiver in front if the servo, it's from the 2WD Stampede. I don't think there is a mounting plate for the ESC, at least that I know of. Anyone I heard of doing that made their own. But I supposed you could buy the receiver box, and see if you could use that as a starting point for making a ESC mounting plate.

Did a mounting plate come your ESC? I don't think he's using a Castle ESC.

Yes the hobbywing sc8 comes with a mounting plate. I used it for my set up with that motor but it's very tight. He is looking for more room between his motor and esc.

Thats the box i bought/used. I'll post up a pic to show how it fits. It work good enough just not as good as it might be.

It won't matter so much once i put the power to it and start breaking things again.

    thanks for all the responces.

As you see I have the Mamba Max Pro esc mounted in the stock location. It's not rubbing against anything and it is a perfect fit. I had it like this for years and when I sold it, itnwas still just fine. It is attached to the chassis by the STRC esc plate by glue. I highly recommend it.

Here is my funny car 2400kv with hobbywing sc8. They are very tight I stock location but haven't seen any issues with they touching.

Here is what I ended up with. You should be able to see receiver box pinching the servo wiring harness boot. Its not a problem short term. This is the layout I'll stay with till something better comes up for the receiver box or the complete destruction of the vehicle occurs LOL
