Finally a little more progress on the aluminum upgrades. These are the start of the completely redesigned shock towers. Rough cut with a lot of shaping left to go.

Aspengt, your work is outstanding. You are so worth every bit of attention and all the complements about this absolutley amazing creation! Great job!

I think its a bit ignorant of Traxxas to not even comment on a build like this even if they werent going to produce it.
They could at least show some support and intrest by commenting or sponsore with some parts... I know for a fact that other companies has/would/are doing that.... I think Traxxas has to step up their game soon in many ways, Im mostly referring to Listening and Seeing the customers or they will start to lose these "long term" customers like myself for other companys that "takes the customers doings and words more seriously"..

Aspengt, please continue to enjoy the hobby the besy way you can and continue to share with us please!

Thank you Manne! I'm not building it to get any type of recognition from traxxas. I'm doing this for the fun of it. And I'm just really happy everyone else is enjoying the build as well. Hopefully I can continue to find time to get working on completing the mini maxx over the next couple of months. This will be the final version. But just like each version before this will go out on the weekends and be bashed. Going to do a real nice video of it first though.

I used 1/16th summit tires, rocker arms, springs.
1/16th slash front and rear bumper.
upgraded servo, Track Star ESC, and a 380 can size 4400kv inrunner brushless motor.

Got some more done on the aluminum upgrades. Sad to say this is about 5 hours of work. Changed up the shock tower design yet again. All lower arms are rough shaped but 3 of them still have a lot last to go. Just started on the two rear upper a-arms. There really is a big difference in working with this 7075 aluminum.

Body is done. Now it's time to finish cutting all the aluminum pieces. So much work left.....

The finished body before overspray masks are removed.

Masking removed and the supplied decals installed. I have since removed the Raptor decals. They just didn't fit.

How much do you charge to get one shipped to Canada? That is the best custom build ever! It looks factory built, has an INCREDIBLE paint job, and the raptor body just seems to fit it. Maybe you should see if you can find an F-750 or F-650 body for it, that would look sick!!!

Thank you. Everything was hand drawn and cut with an exact opposite knife. Sorry, i'm not looking to sell anything. My main focus is trying to finish up the build I started years ago.

I'm going to 3d print it with nylon x. Which is a Nylon material fused with carbon fiber. So far this seems to be the strongest high impact, high rigidly material I can find. Should make for a strong, durable, but relatively light chassis. We shall see.

So last night I was thinking. Why not a 1/16 T-Maxx? I know Exceed makes a 1/16 engine, I have a buddy with a plasma table that could cut the frame, and my cousin has a 3d printer. Then it moved to why not a 1/16 S-Maxx? That should be easier since it's 2wd. Then maybe a 1/16 X-Maxx or a rustler. I mean I don't usually like 1/16 just because it's small, but this thread really got me thinkin.

Haha, I say go for it! I'm focusing all my effort on this one. But I love to see what other people come up with. I'm not a nitro fan but the theory and thought is Def feasible. This whole project started on a challenge, but I keep trying to up the design and refine it. But I wanted to make something that I could easily replace parts when they broke. 3d printing with carbon fiber I believe will be the answer.

On estimate, how much would one of these cost once it's refined?

Well, if you ever decide to release the files to 3D print, please post back and let us know! I'd love to convert over to a Mini E-Maxx! I've already done most every upgrade I can to the Mini Revo as is!

AspenGT, we need you. I've been through this thread in awe like 20 times... now I had to register to post and try to bring back the hero we need.

    I came up with a name: Min-E-Maxx

That is all, likely forever lololololollololloolllo
