Lots of work done over the weekend since I needed more parts to fix my X-maxx.. printed the front and rear skid plates, fit the chassis braces, test fit the servos, covers, reciever box cover, battery hold down clip, etc.. its a very tight fit but clean. turning out exactly how I pictured in my head.

    Very nice as always!

What material/filament to your use to print with? Just wondering...

For all the test prints and mock up im using PLA. For the final it will be carbon fiber infused nylon.

Looking good! You must be enjoying using a 3D printer over machining the parts by hand.

Got the rear suspension figured out. Now I have to line up the shocks and determine where the shock mounts need to be placed.

Well here it is, the full mock up of the build. Still making a few adjustments. But this is the design. Now to test, make the minor corrections. Then print the final pieces for the completed build.

final pieces will still be printed but using nylonX and nylon materials. K have had great experiences with those materials on my other RC parts including my 2 X-Maxx trucks.

Started printing all the parts with the new nylon filament. So far the only part to break was the front skid plate when I accidentally drove into a 2x4 at full speed. All fixed and ready for more testing. I also quickly painted up a new body so I wouldn't damage the good body during testing. Also did a size comparison to the X-maxx, the Mini Maxx has become my new favorite rc.

I hope it's not photobucket. I've read negative comments of what has happened with others using them.

I hope you still have them saved for yourself. They were good pictures of the progress you are making.

It is photobucket. But I only use it for this site. I have all the pics on my phone. Is there something else I can use? I have finished the build and want to post all the pics.

I use Flickr. This is only place I use it for also. It's free and I haven't had an issue, but I also use a desktop (windows). Others use Tapatalk when using directly from phone. I never have so I can't comment on how it works.

Ok trying this instead. See if this works. All the parts arrived in. And all the 3d printed parts are updated and printed. Time to start assembly.

Ok so that worked. So here is the completed build. I decided to go with a true dual steering servo set up to mimic the emaxx. Everything is a tight fit and exactly how i had wanted.

Here's a little video of some jumps from yesterday. Had the truck out and ran 2 sets of batteries through it. Was out for about an hour and a half just bashing around. Had a blast and ended the day with seeing what sime big jumps looked like. I did end up breaking the left rear upper a-arm. But I am more than happy with this trucks performance. So much fun to drive.
