I put a new servo in mine and found out the BEC of my Mamba Max Pro is probably toast. Or just far from able to feed the servo. So I had to put the Castle BEC back again. Maybe time for a Mamba Monster. But not before the MMP is dead.

Looking good pede4x4. What color is that? Take it out into the sunshine for a photo shoot. Id like to see what that color looks like under some natural light and to get a better look at how you did for your first one. Looks pretty good from a distance.

Hey practice makes perfect. My first body turned out crappy too. So then after a year or so i stripped the paint off of it with spray goof off and gave it the drywall tape shoe goo whammy and made my rusty 72 chevy out of it. I do like that color on your ford. Looks good in the sun.

The reason i did that whole chevy body is because although the spray goof off did take the paint off quite well it also thinned the lexan considerably. Was very flimsy after stripping. Looking back on it there wasnt even a reason i had to strip it because i ended up painting it on the outside. Oh well, now i know how to strip a body. I tried the brake fluid method but that barely worked and i didnt have the patience for that.

Grub Screws are not the problem for me.

Could you make a video how you pry the MIPS off the Diff Outs?

I have major issues with this task.

Spray a little Liquid Wrench to help break the bond. This just happened to me while rebuilding the rear end diff. I sprayed it on the output, let set for a few minutes, then just wiggled it off with some needle nose pliers. Then spray on and wipe off before putting it back together to help taking apart in the future. I use the stuff all the time at work and it works great.

I cut some PVC rings for drift tires. It's like te front wheels didn't spin under power. Will be tearing apart front diff to add oil tomorrow. It's probably bone dry. Never messed with it before. Not a big deal since it only cost me $5 for the rings.

During the test of my new servo I ruined a pin of a Tekno front shaft. Not more than 5 minutes after replacing it, I broke a pin of a rear axle. That was a MIP. Lol.
You will understand that I see no quality difference between Tekno and MIP.

I got nice blue alu STRC bellcranks/servosaver. The stock spring became a little weak, so it's a huge improvement.

    Hi Guys,

I'm a pede 4x4 vxl owner, with almost every upgrade thats possible.
My problem now is the weight, its about the 5 kilograms (If I'm correct 11 lbs). I had the hobbywing Ez run (esc 120 amps) brushless combo SC-C3 4700kV. But it died after 2 runs (I hit the 80 mph). Completely burned out.

Now I consider to buy a new combo but i don't know which one. Should I buy the same hobbywing combo or should I go for the Castle creations mamba max pro or maybe mamba monster V2 (i know its maybe overkill, but I saw a youtube video were its possible to fit an mmV2 with a 1515 2650KV motor). Other brands and combo's are welcome.

    Any help please!

5 kg? Are you kidding me? Mine is 3kg with MIPs, XO-1 Diffs, Taped 2.8 Trenchers on 3.2 Rims, Castle 1415 2400 kv Motor, HW WP-SC8 ESC and and and -> about 3 kg with 3s Lipo

    How can it be 5kg?
