Traxxas Summit with Proline Rat Rod body.

Hello, my friends! I've only been posting photos of my Summit in the gallery so I've decided to create a thread to show it off.

Summit with unpainted Proline Rat Rod body:

Here's how the body hugs the front part of the chassis where the dual steering servos are:

I used the Proline Extended Body Posts for mounting. I had to really trim down most of the material off the posts to be able to mount the body as low as possible to the chassis:

I wanted to retain the front bumper and LED lights, so I found a way for the bumper mounts to clear the Rat Rod's front radiator.

I used the rear bumper mounts and flipped them around, allowing me to mount the front bumper much lower. That gave some bit of clearance for the front radiator. I had to trim half an inch off the chin of the radiator to make it fit:

This is how much I had to trim off the rear body posts:

Here's how she looks with the front bumper retained. Shown with Proline Rock Rage tires:

    Thanks, guys!

With regards to the body posts with screw caps, they are the Proline Extended Body Mounts. They make one specifically for the Summit/E-Revo. They are pretty neat as they look really good and does away with body clips.

Thanks, but I really preferred to keep that front bumper to retain the LED lights. Initially, I wanted to relocate the lights to the headlamps of the shell, but I don't want to bother constantly connecting and disconnecting the wires anytime I want to remove the shell. I also want to keep the monster truck look of the Summit as well.

Here's how it looks with my off-road set of tires:

You clearly explained why you wanted to keep it, and how you managed to make it work so well.

    It looks great!

Great job! Love the white on the rat rod body. First time I have seen that done. Usually see it done in black but the white is a nice fresh take. Looks amazing!!
