    Starting my slash

Hey everyone so I've had my truck for about 2 months now and it's awesome but whenever I go to start it up it take a good 20-30 seconds or so with about 4-5 seconds of priming. After I get it started it runs like a champ. is that normal or what?

That's how it always is for me. I usually overkill the after run oil, so its runs a little funky for the first few seconds then its good. The reason it doesn't just start right up is probably because the glow plug needs a few seconds to get the fuel hot enough to combust. Its not like a gas motor that runs on spark, this fuel runs off of heat and compression.

The glow plug should glow nice and hot almost immediately. A good tune will get it to start right away--for me, most of the time it takes quite a few pulls to get it started when cold.

The glow plug does light up and it's tuned vary nicely so idk but I noticed it takes a while to suck fuel through the lines is that normal?

It doesn't suck the fuel it gets pushed by the exhaust, hence the pressure line from the pipe to the tank.
