I just bought a set of Axial 2.2 BFGoodrich Krawler T/A tires. Does anybody know which wheels I will need? Beadlocks i assume? Right now running stock tires and wheels on my 4X4 Pede... is there anything else I will need to fit these tires on my truck? is it worth it? Im having a bit of buyers remorse after buying these tires, even though i got them pretty cheap, Im not sure that they are right for my Stampede.

I didn't think 2.2 rims would fit the 4x4 they hit the c hubs as far as I know.

anyone use the Ofna MT3 splits? Looks like they have a wider offset but should be okay. Also look like they use a 17mm hex. I have the MIP 17mm's on one build but I wonder if the Traxxas 17mm adapters would work on these wheels for another build I have? Do the Traxxas adapters act like the MIP's converting stock 12mm to 17mm?

Any other views of the those wheels with the sandpaws and the body on? Have you run it yet? I've read the steering really suffers with these upfront and I'm interested in hearing about your experience.

Anyone about the Traxxas 17mm adapters? Do the act like the MIP ones and just bolt up to the stock Traxxas setup?

Good to hear good news about the Super Swampers. I have the same combo (with the F-11 wheels). Weather has been too cold and too wet to give them a try. Still waiting for my second pair of Tekno 6mm axles with 17mm hex for the front end. And time to paint my new body.

I have been using the HPI Warlock wheels too. Pretty solid wheels. I used them with cheapo Talonish tires. Worked pretty good.

Also tried them with Trenchers which was not really a success, due to the quite small offset of the wheels.

    Nobody is born with experience

dirk411 that is the Proline Bulldog body. Some say it is weak in strength, but I have had no problems so far on hard bashing.

Thanks for the help jerry. Is that specific to the stampede or what? Looking on proline I found one for 1/8 scale? Also looked on ebay and saw one bulldog advertised for the pede, but the rest look like they were for a nitro car or something? I have one heck of a time sourcing out parts for these rc's

Will that bulldog body hold up to bashing in your opinion? I was thinking about buying a new clear and painting it matte black and putting a monster energy "M" and maybe a couple stickers from my parts purchases. Figure it would go well with my black chassis, black wheels and green rpm arms.

My son's Bulldog body has held up fine so far and he is definitely not a great driver but better than most.
Before he get's to the point of destroying it I plan on Shoo Gooing the body, should have done it first.

How does this setup work for you in the snow? My buddy has this truck and he keeps getting stuck with the stock Talons. I was thinking he needs more ground clearance but maybe just a better set of tires is all he needs. Thanks!

I can't speak for Magstang, but I run the Sandpaws in the rear and Mashers up front and it's amazing. I was just basing today in snow that at times was well over the hood. I think anything is probably better then the stock tires! You can get high centered by my experience has been if you have momentum and paddles you can go through some seriously deep stuff.

An older pic. I'm working on a little video from today.

Here was a quick blast a few weeks ago. Short, but you get the point.

I like the anacondas as well for speed runs. I haven't found anything better than they are almost no ballooning on 3s with 20/54.

Sand paws x4 is good for me. It helps keep the nose up and if you do get stuck, a quick stab of reverse digs the nose in, plants the front tires and usually pops you out.

Steering is a bit like driving a jet ski. A bit of throttle helps the steering.

If you don't like them on all 4 corners just save a set for spare tears when you wear out the first pair. I have no plans to take mine off the front.
