nope the esc/speed control from what I here isn't very good on 3s only geared low using that motor.

if you want to go for 60mph you in a ways cant cheap out. then there are other things...... lowering, shock tuning, tires
I don't want to deter you from doing 60mph

I am running the castle sct combo on 3s. I have gearing 54/14 and usually temps are warm to hot after a full run. You just have to be cautious and check temps a few times a run.

If you want to go 60 you re going to have to upgrade some more stuff like tires and body.

yes ....... tires that can handle the speed, front weight, shocks tuning...mostly lowering, shell lowering, tire balancing, finding a system that can do it(not saying the vxl cant )

now for the speed tires I like the trenchers for out right grip but with a 2.8" rim they are going to explode....most likely rip. at those speeds. but one thing I would recommend is to cut and stretch onto a 3.2" rim. makes the tire low profile so it doesn't balloon so much ,gives the tire more contact patch and still can use for bashing. but at the expense of getting 17mm hex hubs witch can be about 40 bucks.......

honestly 50mph gets hairy for me but im doing without tuning

Isn't there a thread on this subject we can link for him? I believe you can reach 60mph with that setup but I haven't done it myself.

I went 62(bandit) once. I like 35-40 now. 45 in an erbe looks like 70 in a Bandit...

JUST DO NOT HIT ANYTHING, AND DO NOT GO AIRBORNE!!!
