    Castle 2200kv Stampede

Just started building a stampede with some parts i have laying around
Was just going to convert a slash lcg i had into a stampede'ie kinda truck but ended up doing this instead
one thing i do miss working on my other 3 LCG rally's and slashes is that theres a lot more room for everything. i had to make a plate to mount the esc and also put two screws through the body into the receiver box as i couldnt really find a good place to mount it.
other than that, i do like the smaller size of it, hopefully can handle some abuse!

    list of parts
    Castle mamba monster 2
    2200kv motor
    XO1 diffs
    revo HD slipper
    Alum hex nuts
    Hitec waterproof servo
Axis body brace with alloy rod
alloy motor mount with oversized bearing
    traxxas motor plate
    traxxas alloy shock towers
    traxxas metal driveshafts
    servo guard
    strc alloy steering arms
    + a few other bits n bobs

a few things left to do
get batteries as the ones from my revo / rally / xo1's / slash / spartan / summit etc etc dont fit! i have a few 4's ones coming this week
add a heatsink and fan for motor
    add telemetry
maybe get the extender hubs to make it a bit wider
gtr shocks (not a fan of the stock ones - too skinny)

    any other suggestions ?

Going to need 17mm adapters for sure. My desporados lasted about 2 packs with the 1415 before they were stripped. Gtr's are great! Definately get some stiffer springs, though the double black stripes are super soft.

I had excellent luck with RC Raven E-Maxx springs in the rear and Traxxas Rear-Stampede springs in the front.

Aluminum shock caps! With more weight and way, way more much power, those plastic ones will pop off in no time...if your gonna keep the stock shocks.

yeah the shocks are just for show now
    gtr's are on their way

only problem with going 17mm hubs is which wheels / tires to use

Wow I run a 2200 in my scalpel and a 2650 in my 4wd slash platinum but my girls pede still runs a velineon.
I can only imagine what a beast the pede is with that kind of power .
I will be upgrading her pede to the 2400 I have waiting and believe that will be crazy pede power.
    Awesome rig you have there.

Do you actually have to cut the tires or do you just stretch them over the larger rims?

looks good with those low profile trenchers
that might be what i'll have to do then
i'll see how these go first. still waiting on batteries to run it but a trail run on a 2s battery last night and she was popping wheelies. on 4s hopefully will be doing one push backflips. if it doesnt, i'll have to go 6s

Theres a perfect line on the 2.8 trenchers that you cut on. It doesnt have to be 100% perfect to look good finished.

Wow, what a truck timochy. Reminds me of the the old chevy vega's guys would shoehorn a monster v8 into. Put some wings on that thing and i think you got a dual purpose machine. 2200kv thats crazy, my 1/8 truck has a 2000kv and is almost twice the size and is blazing fast. Let's see a running vid of that please. Nice chassis brace.

yeah i've got 2x rallys and a slash 4x4 which i've shoehorned the same setup on (mm2 and 2200kv) into
can never have too much power and i've found these setups are quite reliable given then amount of power they've all got
i run full metal drivetrains so theres no give at all and all of them have been running solid, but this one i might run a plastic spur gear

the axis brace fits on but i've used a solid alloy rod cut down to fit, otherwise you can cut down the original fibreglass rod
i've got it on all my rallys and slashes and without it, i think that i would have done a lot more damage

i think my next one will be a lcg stampede like mt

is anyone else like me, and enjoy building these things almost as much or if not more than driving them ?

Yes sir I love building them, I often find myself taking things apart just for the fun of it.
I've built seven of them so far and am looking forward to the next.
