    My scale telluride build

Hey, like to share my telluride scale project that I just finished up in Nova Scotia Canada. It's got summit front and rear bumpers with lights, summit exo-cage, jb welded diffs, 21T titan 550, traxxas big bore shocks and pro-line trenchers. I removed most all of the traxxas stickers and put my own on.[IMG][/IMG]

Welcome to the forums! Nice looking rig you got there! How did you do the Summit Exo cage?

Thanks :-) I took a hacksaw and cut it apart, took about cm from the back part, about 1 1/2 cm from the middle and about an inch from the front, I drilled out and put coat hanger pegs in to strengthen up the cuts. Super glued it all back together with Lepage super glue ultra gel. It seems to be holding pretty good so far.

Very nice! I have the same bumper, it shines real bright... What size are those Trenshers? 2.8? Where do you shop for your stuff? I'm from New Brunswick, no LHS up here.

Thanks, the tires are 2.2/3 short course. Little stiff for "rock crawling" but they are waterproof and grippy. I ordered most of my stuff thru greathobbies.com usually pretty good prices and like 3-4 day delivery time

Hi guys, I had to click on this thread when I saw Nova Scotia... I thought, hummm close to home... should say hi.. and I start reading, and to my surprise... a New Brunswicker! Wher in NS and NB are you guys from? I'm origionally from just outside Fredericton NB, but living in Sudbury Ontario now.

Oh btw Titas, the telly looks awesome, I love the customized exo, well done. I'm debating on rather to build another p4de or a Telly with my leftover spare parts from upgrading my current P4de. This is kinda pulling me to Telly now.... maybe a wide telly....hummmm....

Thanks :-) it was fun to build. I'm from the Annapolis valley in N.S. :-) I was debating on the longer a arms. If I can find the parts locally I might convert to long arm someday.

Hey Morehouse! I went to college in Fred. Originally from Grand Falls, now living in Bathurst.

I was debating on getting 2.2 or 2.8 trenshers. 2.2 seems like the perfect size for the Telluride.

i have 2.8 trenchers on my pede. they are awesome tires, very grippy.
I think you will want 2.2 for the Telly, 2.8 would be a bit big.

Awesome build. I used your exo cage idea. I'd post a pic but for some reason my pics won't upload off of photobucket. Mine however didn't come out as clean where the cage was put back together. I also added a spare tire carrier on the back of mine.

Thanks :-) I was thinking on how to add a spare tire on the back. I've got all the suspension parts off of a stampede coming to widen it out and put bigger tires on with a 35T motor and see how it works :-D

Nice. That should work out good. For my tire carrier I used an 8/32 screw and nut. The screw was 1.5 inches long. I could either mount it at an angle closer to the roof or flat against the back like a jeep. I did it flat against the back.

Thanks :-) still got a few things left to do. Upgrade the steering servo and put a slipper clutch in from a slash and possibly a smaller pinion or 35T motor

    Good looking rig.

This is really making me consider getting mine out of its box and doing some tinkering with it.
Especially since I've had some ideas floating around in my head.

what rims and tire size are the boggers,Some of your pics ;look like 2.2's.Im under the assumption it has the same knuckles as the stampede 4x4 and 2.2's would not clear mine.

    Very Nice work

Thanks. They are indeed 2.2 axial rims off of the poison spyder wraith with hub extenders. They still rub a little bit at max turn but they work good :-)
