So I got the jconcept baja body painted today, satisfied with the work, a bit of bleeding here and here but no big deal.

I just realised I ran out of traxxas decals so not going to put any for now, icluding the jconcept ones. Will do the reinforcement with shoe goo and dry wall tape before running this body

Nice! I'm partial to that body. That said... it's a BAJR, not BAJA.

Thanks I was alway confused what was the bajr , baja etc, it is a nice body indeed, I may cut off the rear part as it interfers with the wing

so today I managed to finish also the Baja bug body from proline.
The third body will be painted in the begeining of next wekk (proline blockbuster) and a fourth sc10 body (nice and thick, not sure yet what colour theme, maybe some hues of yellow , purple etc, like the lakers colour)
    Here are the two together

JConcepts illusion Bajr and proline's Baja Bug
I used red, black and silver for the bug, infact it was to red so I backed it with black followed by white to give that nice hue

Yikes I broke my steering bell crank today, going to get a new 6845x, It lasted me a long while so I may as well get another one instead of buying aluminun.

Anyway went at full speed geared 18/54 on 3s, skidded side ways into a pavement and snapped the bell crank, nothing else.....what an unfortunate accident at the lhs.....unfortunately they did not have the piece right there so have to wait untill the order comes in.

Build looks pretty good How did the bellcrank manage to snap? Isn't there a saver on it?

After building my ultimate into a monster truck for my son I've come to the conclusion that the stock system just performs better with the SC tires on. And truthfully I don't think I gained much in going to a 2.8 tire on the stock system with training mode enabled. Now on my platinum 2200kv set up I'm sure the 2.8 will rock.

    Thanks

Today was very cold, plastic and -7 degrees celcius did not work out well, so the small connector just snapped off and to think that last week the whether was already double digits above zero.....man it was cold especially that, I forgot to bring my gloves.

Yeah I have always like the MT look, such that when I build mine up, I did not even consider sc 2.2/3.0 wheels and tyres.
I now got mine but have not glued them yet, very happy with my mashers on 17mm F11 and 1/8 buggy lockup wheels.

I've never ran or installed the SC wheels/tires my rig came with.
I took them off when I got my rig and have never looked back...

Update , so I have seriously gone into some serious racing and dont want some of my traxxas collection just on the shelf.

To follow, I will oder the lcg kit soon (finally going that route), keep her under the theme of 1/8 buggy, as I have her registered for a race under the quebec rc serries for the 25th of August for three days event.....I have some other non traxxas vehicles in the nitro buggy and sc class as well. Hopefully I will be able to jugle between all events....

As soon as I get the backslash lcg ready will post a photo with a high flow illuzion jconcepts body. Will change the MIP to either flm or tekno, will see what strong cvds I can get out there, got a confirmation that I can ran it with an MM2 2650, 2s to 3s I have to check, for SC its limmited to 1/10 systems and motors and 2s.

All 1/8 nitro buggies and truggies to 0.21 engines, darn my revo platinum build is to high....

So I got my lcg traxxas kit today, next week I will probably get the kingheadz motor mount and a hd motor plate.

The backslash is been prepared for un upcoming race on the 25th of August, but if she is ready early enough then I will eneter in the local races on the 18th of June.

Pictures will follow, hopefully by Sunday as I will use the famed illuzion high flow body, running the MM2 and 2650 as I had sold the other 2200, most fellows are running lower kvs and 4s is permitted. Eventually will get the MMX paired with a sensored motor.

Looks like a great collection! How do you like the Duratrax lockups? Do they hold up well?

They are awsome, do not baloon at all, and now that I have a couple of buggy wheels, I realised all of them don't. Great handling, does not wear out as much as I thought it would...glides nicely on loose sand and gravel, great handling on grass and very tight grip on asphalt.

Truggy wheels too are amazing (at the back on the revos)

Sadly I will sell some of them as the collection is too big and I have other non traxxas rigs too. But will keep my vantage revo, lst2 diff erevo and slash...

That is very nice that they don't balloon. Are they mounted on 17mm hexes?

Yes they are all mounted on 17mm hex, I got the 10mm HR offset over the MIP ones like a couple of are using.
