retro look is pretty cool, I like it. Did you do the 17mm out of necessity or as a precaution?

Sound master. That is as low as it goes. Rear body mounts on front and back. It's the shocks are extended out. I moved it around.
And spennie. Nothing's broke yet well except an A arm when I first got it. Almost broke the ears of old stock shafts just on 2s. Other then that it's been a good truck

Ok guys kinda of in a pickle here. I got the steel splined traxxas drive shafts with protrac arms. The work but after looking harder the spline is just barely inside the inner shaft. Like 1/8 -1/4 inch. I'm worried after new motor and esc ill strip them. So I see some of you putting on MIPS and/ or teknos. My question is what's the part numbers. And would the work with my traxxas 17 mm conversion tra6856

Seems like most people run teknos with protrac arms. TKR6850L They are longer. I would think the mips would be over extended. Sounds like you can't run traxxas aluminum carriers with them you need the teckno carriers. And the traxxas 17mm hubs won't work on mips or tecknos.

I love my protrac kit and teknos no bad experiences the protrac kit took a while to install because I had to adjust all the turnbuckles but I like tinkering

Ok well let's see since my last post here I've upgraded my shocks pro line. Then got xo1 diff in the rear. Had to take it out since it seemed the stock motor wasn't powerful enough to spend the wheels and do wheelies
yes the tabs on the side aren't in. I did put them in after the pic. And here's my oldest son's slash and middle son's pede

I guess I need to upgrade motor and esc now.

I got both old style esc in my pede now but I got the newer motor and esc in my sons pede and didn't know it was a 4 pole motor till I read a thread on here bout them

Ok if I get the tekno driveshafts. Do I HAVE to use their hub carriers or can I use the xo1 carriers since they have the 6mm bearings. If I have to use them then I'll do what someone else has done and take the stubs off the xo1 and put them on the teknos

i would think they would work since they are 6mm. the tekno carriers havnt ever let me down though. i was a little concerned since i broke the front and rear on my 2wd and then i got alum.

On the tekno driveshafts. Do you use the old grub screw for the drive cups. I think that's what screw is called.

Well the bottom shock fell out the ball where screw goes. It's been doing this a lot now after a good jump. I just pop it back in. Does anyone run the arm guards with the sway bar kit.

Washers will fix your issue of shocks popping through the pivot balls.

Yea I thought bout that. Didn't know if anyone has used the guards with swaybars.
I'll just do the washer thing. As I don't really see the guards any extra protection.

yeah i got rid of the guards. they dont let you use all the holes on the a arms. also is your last post a question or statement? each drive cup you put 2 o rings in to keep it from sliding all around.
