I just got a pede a couple weeks ago, new version with the 4 pole motor. I installed the sway bars with the shock guards on, just need to swap out the ball studs on the sway bars with the hollow ball mounts. The same ones the shocks use on the bottom. They are the same width of the spacer that is in the guards. I just got the rod end kit number 5525. 4 or 6 of the ends have the correct size hollow ball mount.

Yea they will work with the stock arms. I have proline protrac arms all around which has more holes. And my shocks are on the far outside holes. Which won't line up with the guards. Which I shoulda looked at before I posted. They are out there so my traxxas steal drive shafts will work better. If I bring the shocks in more which will raise the truck the shafts are barely in. I do have teknos shafts and xo-1 carriers on the way so maybe I can raise it alittle again

Same route I went when installing the sway bars. I have always disliked ball studs.

I also find that the shock guards provide added protection for the expensive powerstrokes. There are some pretty deep scratches in the guards, so I would saw they do something, especially the terrian where I bash...

Indeed, I am definitely keeping the guards.. Deep scratches in mine as well, and I really don't think I'm bashing it too insane...

How is the big bone center shaft? I have a rattling coming from the stock one (sounds chains rattling) and thought maybe switch out to this.

Haven't ran it much. But it's much more quiet than stock. Only because there's no play in it like the stock one.

What's the advantage of that setup vs say just teknos?

the extra width and the dust boots keeps the dirt off yet the joints are well lubricated.

And the boots keeps the pin in also as the bearing would if you used the regular tekno bearings and carriers.

    The 2650kv one for now.
Ok so it's finally here. So now I need a pinion. What gear should I start with 20,21. It'll be hooked to the hobbywing esc but only running 2s for now

With 20/54 and Stock Talons on 2s with 2650KV you'll get about 35 mph.

I geared mine 14/54 running on 3s with 2400KV and get about the same speed. Enough for Bashing, but if I want really crazy tricks I put in 4s, but is almost uncontrollable.

Haha same as I 17mm Rules

So you'll get around 37 mph. More if you didn't tape them due to ballooning.

EDIT: I think 21T pinion is max. with 54T Spur according to gearing chart manual page 24.

Yes 3s is more than enough. I only use 4s for crazy tricks like double backflips and so on. But it is really ridiculous.

Here you can calculate you top speed.

Nice choice on the motor you might wanna pick up some smaller pinions. You might have cogging issues running a hi tooth pinion on 2s and I don't know what battery packs your running but make sure there hi C rating these castle system are power hungry and will help smooth out the cogging.

+1. Better higher Voltage and smaller Pinion. I run my Castle 1415 2400 kv with 14/68 on 4s in my Summit with very little cogging. No problem to crawl with that Motor

Well it's not the castle motor. It's the that looks identical but way cheaper. Someone on here has bought one or a few and was impressed with it. So I'm gonna try it out.

yeah your gonna need 6.5mm female and solder to your SC8 and your ESC is more than enough to feed that motor, plenty fast on 3s insane speed on 4s, I know you wont touch 4s now but later on you will be itching to try lol. I run 4s with my P4de on street run only with XO-1 wheels/tires geared 15/52 but that was before I got this motor.

Yea that's prob it the avatar. I see so many things on here I forget who did what to what. I'm glad I went with the 2650kv though. There's little to no room for the esc

    Either here or

Put it closer to servo, you can make a aluminum plate and use the two screws holding the servo.
