Cool New to this forum/Upgraded Rustler VXL

    Hi ALL!

Im new to this forum, but I have been reading alot here before. But now I thought Id become a member. Ive got a Rustler VXL that I have now done some upgrades on. There is a club for rc-cars here where I live in Finland and we are building a racetrack now. So I thought I would upgrade my Rustler so it will run nicely on the track! I hope this will do the trick!

    Parts list:

    RPM
    Rustler front a-arms, green
    2wd Slash rear a-arms, green
    Green long and short rod-ends
    Front bumber, green
    Gearcover, green
Gearhouse(or what you call it), green
    Shock mudcovers, green

    TRAXXAS
    Aluminum shockcaps, green
    Wheeliebar, green
    Wheelnuts, green

    JCONCEPTS
Illuzion High-Speed Rustler body with rear wing
    Illuzion undertray cover
    Rulux 1/16 E-Revo wheels
    Goose Bumps tires

    PACTRA Lexan paint
    Green Lime
    Black metallic
    Silver metallic
    White backing paint

Here is a pic of all the parts i used (not the wheels):

Here are some pics of my Rustler in action before I started the upgrades

    In progress:

Here I have painted the body black and green. Silver still to come!

And here the finished Rustler VXL

I really hope this will make the car handling better on the track! What do you think?

the tires look small if they were a little bit bigger it would give it the ultimate scale look but the rest off the truck is awesome!! nice job dude

u should throw those badlands on that car cause if u are bashing and racing that would be the way to go because they grip everything and u should defiently die the chasis black

It would be great with a new lighter chassis! Maybe a carbon...

The badlands are great! Youre right, they grip everything... but they grip too much I think... And the car becomes so high that it rolls over in tight corners and end up on the roof... But for bashing they are great! But maybe not for racing on a track...

What kinda track is the club building, if it's a flat track you need to lower the suspension possibly and easiest way would be to put some air line tubing underneath the piston inside the shock body. Or if it's a short course then kinda have to wait and see what you layout is going to involve. Looks really good love the green let us know how it goes please.

Addition I've ran the 2 . 2 gladiators with great success in my rusty on the track. But my track is almost always loose

Badlands may be good for bashing but they are not going to be any good for track use, they are simply way too tall and raise the COG so much the truck will be traction rolling in almost every corner.

Personally I think the tires on it look just right.

The track here is quite flat... two small jumps... the surface is very soft with quite loose sand and tiny gravel...
