    Who "patrols" the forums

I guess I spend a large ammount of my free time on here. Since I use tapatalk I am even more aware of new threads and replies. If anyone needs help between when I wake up and go to sleep I am there to help if I can.

Those that have "Marshal", "Admin" or "Traxxas Employee" under their name. It is earned and one is sought out for a position should the need be there and if that person has proven themselves. It is not easy and there is no compensation for it. Some people are eager to be a mod just to receive the glory and walk around flashing the title.
Similar story: I have been approached by some citizens asking if there was a Fire Corp in our city for those that want to help drag hose and such on a major event if we needed the help. I say no, for if you want to drag hose and receive the glory you will be held to the same requirements as a firefighter: training with us, wake up in the middle of the night, don the gear in high heat and humidity and sludge through the foam/water/ice on the cold winter days. Otherwise don't touch the hose, don't get the tools.

i think he meant who spends alot of time on here. not who enforces the rules. thats what i thought he meant at first when read the thread title, but after reading his post i interrupted it differently. i also find myself browsing on here a good bit. i will either just use my desktop pc or my smartphone and i have the forums bookmarked on chrome.

Yeah. I just mean who spends a lot of time on here.

By the way, mods. Of the 5 or 6 forums that I am on, this is by far the best organized and not over or under moderated. Keep up the good work!

Lol guess I'm guilty as charged. I do spend a lot of time on here and other forums but I try to set this aside to get to real life. Being unemployed doesn't help the addiction... I do agree that the traxxas forum is a well rounded forum that is expertly monitored. I think the only place giving advice gets you paid are the stocks and the Physical therapists...

In my line of business, when I hear "patrol" it is a different meaning than those that frequent or loiter.

I would have used the word 'frequents', but I guess I could also say that I am guilty as charged too. Its great to get information, everyone's different point of views, expertise or the lack off, you name it.

For me its definitely not the glory, but I guess you could almost say this is a specialised form of social media, people of all walks of life sharing the one thing; the sheer enjoyment of that special hobby grade toy....
