    New Tires

Road Rage 2.8 stretched over 3.2" RPM Stablemaxx Revolvers. No need for extended arms, axles, or camber links. Still have to tape and glue them, but gonna wait a couple days to let them stretch! They fit the fenders of my PF8 perfect after a little trimming!

If it helps, my PF8 body measures exactly 12 3/8" inches fender to fender in the front, and about 12 7/16" in the rear. There is JUST ENOUGH room for suspension travel!

Revo Yellows (2.6) in the back, and Oranges (3.2) in the front. I shortened the rear shocks by adding a little spacer about 1/4" inside the shock body. They seem to be working great on smooth streets, but a little too stiff on less than optimal roads! Only been up to 61mph so far.

Nice! I might have to look into this. I've got a Rally build that could use this combo.

Sorry, to clarify, they are slash 4x4 gtr shocks with revo springs and xo-1 towers. 70wt oil front, 60wt oil rear.

Did you cut the tires at all or just stretch them?

Just stretched, but haven't tested yet. I don't think the sidewall of the tire leaves enough to cut, and still glue properly. I have cut Talons, Trenchers, and Bandito MT tires to fit these wheels previously. They all turned out great.

Thanks for posting the pics. They look great stretched!

    I have Road Rage (3.30 x 5.50) on my E-Maxx and
Road Hawg (2.25 x 3.63) on my MERV, but neither look
as good as the stretched ones on yours does.

    Great job!

Have you had a chance to run them yet. I'm curious on how they handle high speeds. Did you tape them or with them being stretched they don't need taping.

You did a really good job getting those tires to fit the rim. I am also excited to hear about their performance.

They run pretty well so far. But I have only been about 50mph or so. Looking to see about 65 with the current gearing. The hardest part was getting the foams lined up right. It wasn't too bad before I taped them, but there is not much room to adjust them after they were taped. Also, it took a lot more to get them balanced. I taped them pretty loose, so when I flipped them right side out they had enough room to stretch.

Here's a little video of them running filmed bumper view. Not too fast in this video, only 40-45mph max.

    No ballooning, and very stable.

Great video! By the looks of the video the car definitely looks very stable. This is a great option instead of the usual 17mm buggy wheels.

I will try to post some more high speed footage soon. I do not like getting out of control in front of my house because of neighbors cars and the dreaded curbside sewer drains! Also have to run without body to film. It's raining now; maybe tomorrow.

It has been a while. Do you have any updates on how the tires are performing? They look soo good on those wheels I might have to try that myself.

Just uploaded video from last week:

The tires are doing much better than I thought. They seem like they are going to last a while. They are soft enough to stick pretty well, but hard enough to allow some over steer for fun! I haven't tried to gear any higher, as I don't seem to feel the need for any more speed. This run I hit a max of 65mph.
