Unhappy solid red light on receiver

I found a muddy puddle at the bottom of my 'water proof' receiver case and now my receiver has a solid red light on it. I have tried linking the receiver and transmitter but the receiver stays solid red. Is it dead?

first take out the receiver from the receiver box and make sure that that puddle did not get in to the receiver. and while you are checking that you should get some WD40 and spray the connectors to displace any moisture in the connectors. you can always block up your car and hook up the receiver out side the box to test it ...the solid red light means you are not getting signal to the rx then you will need to check every thing ,,,,,,antenna wire ,,, rebind controller ,,, check batteries in controller. the trouble shooting should be the same for rustler or bandit ,,,
    I have bandit.
one other option is to try an other rx tx in its place it eliminate the rx or connections.
as to what is the problem.

    Solid green Normal Driving Mode
Slow red (0.5 sec on / 0.5 sec off) Binding See page 8 for more information on binding.
    Flashing fast red (0.125 sec on / 0.125 sec off) Fail-Safe / Low-Voltage Detect
Consistent Low-Voltage in the receiver triggers Fail-Safe so there is enough
power to center the throttle servo before it completely loses power.

slow red rebind the esc and receiver.
    fast red charge your battery

    Hi!

Same thing happend to me 2 weeks ago..turned the car on, then it started flashing red, and no feedback.
I had to replace the reciever because i waterdamaged it...you should open your reciever box and check for water, sounds like you've got the same issue as me...:/
