Charger adapter questions

Hi all,

I am awaiting the delivery of my rustler vxl and I have already received the Onyx 150 charger that I also ordered. Here's the thing: I ordered it used and it didn't come with the adapters. The rustler comes with 2 3s lipos and the original NiMH battery. What adapters will I need to charge/balance and where can I get them?

You will need a different charger for the lipos. For the nimh you will just need a tamiya to traxxas adapter. If you get another charger since the onyx 150 doesn't charge lipos then I recommend the onyx 235. If you get that then you will need a 4 mm bullet to traxxas connector.

Oh. I was thinking of the onyx 100 that I had. My bad. It says it comes with the traxxas adapter and the balance board. Everything that you need should be included.

If you have the money, then upgrade to a traxxas ez peak plus charger so you can charge lipo, life, NIMH, and nicd!

I can also recommend the Powerlab 6 if you plan on getting other cars. Otherwise if budget is a priority right now I can recommend the onyx 235 or the traxxas ez peak plus.

Thank you for the suggestions. I already have the onyx 150 based on it being the cheapest one that I was told was "good enough." Also, to make it even cheaper I bought it used but did not know it didn't have the adapter. The reason for my penny pinching is because I just spent a little over my original intended budget of 200 for a used RTR Rustler VXL. That arrives on Monday. Anyway, I found the adapters on amazon but there are both "Standard Female and Traxxas Male Connectors" and "Standard Male and Traxxas Female Connectors." Which one do I need?
