Anyone else have issues fitting the Traxxas 5650R?

I ordered the Traxxas 5650R, which is the center driveshafts for those who don't know off hand, and I am having an issue installing the back one. The shorter front shaft went on fine after removing much of the front end to get to it, but the longer back end shaft is a smidgen too long and I would have to force it on. I've tried moving the ends around in different directions, putting one end on before the other and visa versa, but I can't get it installed without really having to force it which risks the tranny or differential and I don't wanna do that obviously.

So has any one else had issues with that? Maybe there's something I'm missing? Right now I just slapped the stocker back on the rear and the steel one is still installed on the front because I already put the front end back together before I tried installing the rear. Honestly I thought the longest part was going to be the front and the back was going to be super easy since there's nothing in the way but it's about a millimeter or two too long

Remove the rear end, or the tranny.

Nevermind, I got it. Really tight fit though..I was worried about snapping something. I swear if I don't figure something out after a few hours of trying I will figure it out within a few minutes after I post a question on the forums about it...haha.

I know this thread is super old, but I just ordered 5650r for my Summy and I'm having trouble getting the rear shaft in. Any advice anyone can offer? I'm guessing I'll have to drop the tranny or the rear bulk head to fit it, but am hoping that I'm missing some easy solution.

    Thanks guys.
