I've run a few packs through it so far just messing around, but have not taken any readings.
I am hoping to have some time this week to take temps.
Once all is OK, I'm hoping to have a friend of mine make a video...

quick question that i didnt see in the whole post...for the warbird, what are the front body mounts? Oem mounts or custom??? ... also with the stampede front bumper and RPM bulhead, did you have to drill the bulkhead to accept the triangle style mount of the stampede screw setup (ie 3 screws vs 4)? ...looks like stock stampede shorty is a 3 triangular screw setup

    thanks!

oh you also are running 80 wt in the shocks right?

The Stampede bumper and RPM bulkhead just screw2ed right in.
As for my body mounts, I usually make my own out of parts that I have on hand.
You can probably use ProLine mounts, but note that I placed my BAJR body farther back then stock.
I never could do stock very well...

Squeegie--I really like what you've built here. I'm about to order some of the same HR 17mm adapters and debating between the 6 and 10mm. Since you've had both, what would you recommend? I want the width but I'm a little concerned the extra leverage and increased tire scrub will be too much. There isn't that much difference between the two, I'm thinking 10mm is the way to go. Planning to run these with the pro line 2.8's and something like a proline swamper or trencher like you've done. I'm also considering and thinking a bit about running a 1/8th truggy wheel/tire combo.

I haven't had any problems with the 10mm offsets.
I didn't think the 4mm made much of a difference.

The reason I got them was because I like my bodies to sit low.
I'm not really sure if it made any difference in body trimming.
I like the way the rears sit away from the body, but not sure about the front.
It sits farther away, but when suspension is compressed and steering fully locked, the arch is wider.

Regardless, I like it and have had no problems.

Hey squeegie, I am trying to do a similar slash 4x4 to your orange backslash conversion, I was wondering, how do you mount the body on the chassis?

Although I love my VG Racing Traxxas GTR shocks with the Revo Variable Valve kit, I've always wanted to try the 1/8 shocks.

I never did it because I have the Stampede suspension are guards and didn't want to get rid of them.

Well, I got bored and had the modding itch. Guess what? It fits!

I just put them on a few hours ago and have not had a chance to try them yet.

I may buy a different set of shorter springs later, but I'll give these a shot first.

I run mostly on a mowed field.
I wait until most of the fresh grass dries and then hit it with the compressor.
    Wipe dirt when necessary.

    Simple Green works great too!

I noticed. They are out of the 2200kV as well. Too bad they're not in stock... only a $5 difference!

You could always get the Castle Creations 1415-1Y (2400kV).

Dollar hobbies not a traxxas chop shop anymore. I got some great deals over last two years. Used to be best for "el sob" setup, xo1 stuff, and gtr shocks.
