    Cool Project BlazerClod

    Hello Everyone!

This is my first post, and my first RC. Im from Montreal,QC Canada. 30yrs old. I used this forum for most of my research , so i decided to show what this has created. I appreciate all the info that you guys give. Im trying to turn into a scale 'ish crawler. The pictures are from a couple of wheels ago. Since i have made a few changes. Some 1.9"'s on the way.

The Telluride grocery list so far:

    Body:

    Proline Blazer body
    Clodbuster Grille
    Clodbuster Bumpers
Clodbuster Hood cowl / top of motor
    Axial Fender flares
    Ebay led kit

    Wheels / rims:

RPM wide revolver 2.2's ( crazy wide stance )
    DE racing trinidad's ( 0'ish offset )
    2.2 Flat irons
    Stock rims painted

    Mechanics:

    6878 slipper clutch
    21t motor
13tpinon ( way too fast for crawling )

THAT is a WICKED truck ! The flares really "muscle" it up. NICE ! I don't know the Telly that well, but from what I've read here it builds into a nice crawler.
I have a Summit VXL, so I thought I'd morph it into a crawler. Ended up (a total freak-out project) as a 1/12th '53 Ford pickup (old Midnight Pumpkin) with 1.9s, etc. I'm detailing it out as a Semi-Scaler. (I say "semi-" since the hard-core scalers seem to only like straight axles ) It can hold it's own on the rocks and trails. TONS of fun anyway. It's in the mini Summit section.
Your truck is lookin' great. REALLY NICE job, keep up the awesome work !
chop it up ... stitch it up ...It's ALIVE !!!

Sounds like you got yourself a nice machine! A summit is what i really wanted at the beginning and decided i didn't want to afford it. But by now...i definitely could have lol I haven't even had the chance to really go trailing with it yet. Only mess around in the house and on the snow. Must say i was impressed, but im a newb so. Like most people loving the scale/crawl seen i wanted an scx10. But then realised thats what EVERYONE has. Not saying i can compete with them, but trying to think out of the box a bit. Ill be going to have a look at your summit! cheers i wanna see these 1.9's on a summit.

Yeah, I've thought about gettin' a Sawback, but I'm "old school" (heck, I'm OLD) and it just doesn't take much wizardry to make one of them, (or tf2 or scx... yatta yatta) crawl, I mean, their engineered for it so they BETTER do a good job
But, like my Summit, when someone hears "Telluride", they don't quite expect to see YOUR rig.
Always tryin' to make 'em better. Mine may not be the BEST crawler out there, but the only one I HAVE to compete with is ME.

That truck looks awesome, love the two-tone paint job.

Not a fan of the rack on top.... looks way better with it off, even putting a tire up there doesn't help.... Everything else about the truck is great, just lose the luggage rack

Thanks man . Ouch on the rack. I made that thing lol. But i may just remove it. It also makes it pretty tipsy. Gonna have to patch the 4 holes also :P . Thanks for the comments.

That's funny, I like the roof rack, lol. On a 1:1 truck that looked like this one does...you would totally have a roof rack. Awesome!

Black roof rack with fogs + axial rock sliders.

Little shot of the homemade mudflaps. ill take a another pic...

Beater body . DE trinidad wheels + flat irons

RPM wide revolvers + Mud thrashers

After having some fun, getting it stuck and having to walk into a couple inches of water to retrieve it. Confirmed its waterproof, but not my shoes.

The difference between the wheels offsets ! insane

Its not that I don't like the rack, you got a nice rack lol, just doesn't go with the mean aggressive look that your blazer has, but that's just me, I am not a big fan of the 'trail truck' look with all the scale crap piled up high. Winch on the front, spare tire on the back is about as much accessories that I like.

The truck looks so nice and clean without it.

Great looking build. Myself, I like the roof rack with the lights. Very impressed with all the hard work you've put into it.
What broke, uh, needs upgrading now?

Awesome truck! Love the Blazer with the Flat Irons. I love the look of the Flat Irons. How is the traction when crawling ? How do you like the Flat Irons?
