Just got a new 2wd slash. Question

Hi all, just got a slash for the kids and I have a question on the slipper. On pavement it sounds like it only slips a second or about two feet or so and takes off like a bat. But on grass it seems like it slips more before really taking off fast.
And it feels like it slips more in reverse in grass if you mash the throttle.

Do you think it's set right or??

How far out from full right would be best? I have not tried anything yet

I would think it being new that everything should be fine, but you never know. Running on the grass is hard on the truck itself, and if grass is long it could explain the problem your having taking off. You have more resistance on the grass than you do the pavement.

What you're likely seeing is a result of your slipper clutch slipping a bit. If you tighten up the clutch a bit, it will slip less (but more stress will be put on your drive train). Check out the Slash manual on page 20 for more info on adjusting your slipper clutch. A couple feet of slippage on a high-traction surface sounds about right per the manual.
