Question Castle motor Choices for Bandit

    Hello,

I have a Bandit and I am currently looking to upgrade. I am kinda new to this so bear with me. I am looking at the castle sidewinder 3 esc and motor combo and wanted to know what option would be the fastest.

    1. Sidewinder 3 with NC1406-4600kV motor
    2. Sidewinder 3 with NC1406-5700kV motor
    3. Sidewinder 3 with NC1406-6900kV motor
    4. Sidewinder 3 with NC1406-7700kV motor

Out of those 4 which would be the fastest. I know that the sidewinder 3 can handle 3s lipos but can all four motors also handle a 3s, that's what is confusing me. So thanks for any help its greatly appreciated. And as a side question after picking the fastest out of these four what would be a good gear ratio to get a lot of speed but while also keeping the heat kinda low.
    Thanks again. (:

Says only 4600kv and 5700kv for 3s on the Castle gearing chart. Sorry I can't help more.

Wow thanks can't believe I didn't find that before. And has anyone tried a 6900kv on 3s or is that just pushing it too far.

all 4 of those motors are not really supposed to be used on a 3s battery, i would go for the 3800kv its nice and torquey i would start with like 21-25 tooth pinion on pavement it shouldnt run that hot.

Given their respective price points it's hard to recommend a 1406 series motor over the 1410 3800 for general bashing or speed running. It's a much larger motor, has more torque, will run cooler, last longer and can be geared up and run 3S for high speed set-ups.
Pretty please, with sugar on top, clean the RC car
