That is a great job sir, the detail is amazing and I love the color. Those wheels are really sharp, what size are they?

Thank you, the wheels are Duratrax 2.8 Bandito, they look great and grip really good... However as you can see on some of the pictures, they balloon at high speed and are rubbing the paint off the fenders. I have a set of G-locs by JConcepts and the are amazing, handle 4s like a champ but the wheels are not so great looking. Going to get a set of G-loc tires and just glue them up to a better looking set of wheels.

Color on it was an experiment, 3 stage, candy orange, then flaming orange metallic, then revving red metallic, backed it all up with black. Looks amazing in the sun, changes from Orange to red, then in darker light looks like a burnt orange metallic.

Very nice, great vibrant colours, so now the slash has become practically a rally, the road rage tires look slick too.

I have tried to unmount tires before, the boiling method, with no success... The tires I could get unmounted but the wheels only come on the premounts from duratrax. I mounted up the road rages last night but I had to trim more of the front fenders so the tires could turn left to right without rubbing or catching on the fenders. I also adjusted the ride height, raised it, for more ground clearance, it was a little to low and catching all the small rocks in the road and collecting them in the chassis. Had to trim the front and rear bumpers more also. I do like the Duratrax banditos I might order some and try to tape them so they don't balloon so much. Thanks for the comments, it is nice to get feedback.

If you couldn't see the Pro-Line body caps, you'd think it was an actually car.

No, nothing but 3s or 4s lipo in this bad boy! That's why the tires are ballooning... And here was my inspiration for this build.

I'd have a hard time giving it all the throttle in fear of boogering it up. Very nice ride, impressive.

That is not my creation. It is a beautiful car but I can't take any credit for it. Hopefully the op will chime in.

Is there anyway you could get a dimension on how wide the car is with the Jconcepts 2.8 G-Locs. I have an older Kyosho Subaru body that is 12.25" wide and don't know if they will fit
    Thanks

This is an old thread, but someone will probably chime in to help.

Anyway, this is my contibution to your challenge:

Total width of my Slash 4x4 with 2.8" wheels and Trencher tyres (with the Stampede 4x4 offset) is 13.4" (340mm).
    The 2.8" Trenchers are 2.86" (73mm) wide whereas the 2.8" G-Locs are 2" (50mm) wide.
This should mean that the total width of the Slash 4x4/Rally with the 2.8" G-Locs is approx. 12.5" (317mm).

A better option may be to use the Deegan Ford Fiesta Rally A-arms (=Telluride arms) combined with the 2.8" Stampede 4x4 wheels. According to my calculations this will give a total width with the 2.8" G-Locs of 11.7" (297mm). This is 0.55" narrower than the Subaru body and should work (unless you have Tekno M6 driveshafts - The MIP X-Duty's will work with the Telluride A-arms).

    Hope this helps...

What wheels are you planning to mount the 2.8 G-Locs onto?

My current build has JConcepts 2.8 G-Locs tires, ProLine 2.8 17mm F-11 wheels (1/2 inch offset), stock Traxxas A-arms, and Tekno M6 w/ 17mm hexes. It's track width is 12.75 inches.
