    Stripped Chassis Attachment Hole

Somehow, during my last bash session, I managed to rip the screw out that attaches the front bumper on my Summit VXL to the chassis of the vehicle. It is the shorter center screw that doesn't thread through into the front bulkhead, but screws into the top deck of the chassis. It's kind of annoying me that the front body posts are weak because of this, so I'm looking to fix it. Short of replacing the whole chassis for what seems like a real small issue, I'm wondering if anyone has fixed this before. I was thinking of filling the hole (now ovalish) with an epoxy or something, letting it dry, drilling it out and then threading the screw back into it.

Anyone have any ideas, epoxy, crazy glue etc?

    Thanks guys.

You can do it with the epoxy, or super glue. I have also move to a bigger screw, either longer if permisable, or larger diameter. Some times that won't work, and you have to resort to epoxy. I use an epoxy that is designed for plastic.

For now gorilla glue seems to be doing the trick!
