    Revo Platinum

I'm planning on running this beast in the truggy class at my local track Outlaw RC in Cloverdale, BC
It should be fun.......when I can get it to start lol it fired the first time I tried but I didn't have batteries for my radio to test drive, now that the radio is taken care of, it won't start

Good thing I'm only running 1 steering servo, perfect mounting spot for the venom 1600mah hump pack

Antenna is much shorter and now good ol traxxas blue with a black cap

And picture evidence that the wife DOES like cooking with nitro lol

Finally got it to the track to run a couple laps
Unfortunately a couple was all I got then a stripped bulkhead screw ended my day

It was fun while it lasted, can't wait to try again

And maybe get the big block kit and run this beast

Does that battery not fit in the slayer box? Because I've had the hump style in mine and I would think you'd want it lower.

No it doesn't fit, the stock battery is a flat pack in a small box under the receiver/power switch box

I am using the trakpower Life 1600Mah and it fits nicely in the box you have in the picture. Very happy with it so far.

Just curious where did you get the head cover.

I also have this rx batt in my slayer pro and it fits perfect in the battery box, you should try it, it's looks clean too.

+1 for a life battery. They last a long time when charged right.

Thanks, I didn't even think to try I just assumed there was only room for the flat pack so I left it in there, I'll check the fit today

    No luck

This pack looks huge compared to yours, I want the life pack when the budget allows

It was included with the novarossi Beat 5 engine I bought
I checked out their site and they sell for $60us and come in either 120v which I have and 12v and blue or black
I want to get the 12v version in blue for when I'm at the track so I don't have to worry about plugging in the wrong cable

Yeah looks like you put the rx box for the flat battery,

When I purchased the new rx box it came with both sets, but the trackpower battery is nice and flat so I used that set up'

Life batteries are much more stable then Lipos how ever I have Lipos for my electric trucks to get that extra voltage, Life is only at 6.6 for 2s fully charged but excellent with my single servo set up Hitec HS7954SH on the revo and also in my 4pls transmitter

Most receivers cant handle more than 6.6 volts. I have a lipos for all of my cars but need voltage regulators
