    Dead Mustang, ESC problem?

    Hi guys;

    Been a while since I have been active with the RC stuff.

    But anyway, was out running the mustang in the stock configuration and it died while running.

    Stock everything; Velineon VXL 3M ESC
    2x 1200mAh NiMH
    Running with the series connector cable

    Let everything cool down and then recharged the batteries

    Now the ESC only blinks a few times and the car does nothing.

    Any trouble shooting or is the ESC toast?

    Thanks,
    jeremy

    Unplug the servo wire from the receiver and see if the ESC starts up normal after that.

    Not sure how to do that. It is all weather sealed.

    Do I just pull on the three colored wire?

    Channel 1 should be steering servo and channel 2 should be esc. Pull the channel 1 wire out of the receiver and then turn the vehicle on. If the esc starts normally then you need a new servo if the esc does the same blinking thing try disconnecting the three motor wires. And turn it on again. If this foxes it you probably shorted out the motor. I ruined my motor running 4s. But man was it fun.
