if i'm not mistaken the shoulder/sidewall tread is absent on the trencher x tire.
edit: i stand corrected. it's the shoulder/sidewall tread and slightly bigger gapping between the tread itself. i've never owned an "x" but i can attest to the toughness and performance of the trencher in the 2.8 size.

Fun. I have the trenchers for my stampede, and just ordered the trencher X for my e-revo. Will report back the difference.

Yep I figured it out. The X has a little wider tread and overall its .03 wider? I dont see why? But the Trencher X sidewall doesnt have the "sidewall tread". The regular trencher has not as far apart tread and has sidewall tread. And I think the X MAY have a little deeper tread

Trencher X: the lugs are farther apart.

I don't think I can do the comparison... The trencher X 3.8 are just so much bigger than the trencher 2.8. I don't know what to say.

I'm wondering if I have to gear down with those tires. Currently running 18T/54T on my EREB

You're wondering that? Holy cowboys and indians! Will those tires even fit on a P4de? I think it'd look weird.

comparing trenchers to trencher x's is near impossible being they are almost exactly the same tire and i mean the differences are extremely small. the fact that yours are different sizes, only one set is new and are going on completely different vehicles makes it even more pointless.
the bigger tire means less gear to get the same speed. i would recommend taping those as 2.8 trenchers balloon a lot and those are going to even more.

I haven't tested the 2.8's on my pede4x4. But the 3.8's did not balloon like the proline crime fighters on my EREB.

    Sorry for the confusion guys.
This is why I tried to compare the 2.
I didnt know back then, so turns out to be a bad idea to compare the 2.

I have 2.8 right now. It's pretty grippy on pavement. How do I get it to slide a little bit?
