    $100

Hello Traxxas community, I want to make my slash bulletproof. I already have aluminum shock caps and caster blocks, with a sw8 system . I have stock tires but they have actually been working good enough for my needs. What should I get for $100?

    Thanks!

Mip X-Duty axles and an aluminum motor mount would make your truck good and bullet proof. That way you don't have to worry about broken axles and a melted motor mount. A metal slipper bearing adapter would also be a big plus!

    Rear driveshafts, MIPs.

If you have an sw8 system that's a lot more powerful than stock and you will eventually start breaking the stock plastic shafts, so you can upgrade them now before you get those annoying breakages in the middle of playing with your truck

This and this would put you just a little over $100, but are VERY worthwhile upgrades.

Which bearing? Are you referring to the bearing adapter, the 6893x? If so, it is metal instead of plastic, so it is like 10x more durable.

This is a Stampede... but the procedure is EXACTLY the same:

the plastic one is just crap and junk. I think that the ultimate should come with the bearing adapter stock. the X dutys and the 6893x is what you need for under 100 dollars.

I never knew that part made a big deal being plastic, I guess I will get that, but still I have A little over $100. I have MIP X-Duties because the first five seconds with the sw8, the tore apart. I have had 2 MIP X-Duties snap, too. Actually not even bashing hard, pretty normal use on my home made track.

Holy cow... I've never heard of an X duty breaking. Pins falling out, but never and actual breakage.

I agree..pics of broken x-duties are required. I may be new at this but I've been beating mine pretty hard without a glitch. Looking at them and the way they are built it's hard to imagine busting one. Like Matts said...pin issues maybe but actual breakage???

I must find it, on 3s sw8. Just running on my track, doesn't even have large ramps. The first one they replaced but the second I gave up so I have 3 XDuties running :P

I think I threw it out but heres where it snapped. Sorry if I'm not clear enough, but it snapped in a twist... It looked like the metal might have twisted apart. Nobody here had the problem?

EDIT: I looked up x-duty and they looked nothing like these, sorry

Ahhhh... I knew you didn't break an X Duty. Only way to break an X Duty is to run the truck over with a bull dozer.
