    19/52 Pinion Gear

Ok, so I'm setting up my Traxxas Slash 4x4 1/10 with all the new parts coming Monday. I was wondering if I can go off-road with my slash with a 19 tooth pinion gear. I know not to start / stop it too much at a given time. I also have a 13 tooth but want the speed as well, but 13T can handle off-road better. I am running a Venom 9.6V 5000mah Battery (which is a really good battery) and I was wondering if it will give any problems with my motor. Thanks, -Doogamaster2817

If you are running the stock brushless system.
19 T would only be for a couple of speed runs before it overheated.
    Not for off-road

If you gear your truck that high I don't think it is going to last very long. The motor will probably overheat and cause you to replace it. Stick with the stock 13/54 gears and you will be fine.

Humm, I feel like I'm going thru deja vue, wasn't this exact question asked once before?
A 9.6 volt mush be a 8 cell NiMh, just for the record Venom doesn't have the best reputation for battery's, then again I dont know much about there NiMh packs.
That said I think post's #2 and #3 say it as well as it can be said.

Thank you, for a minute there I thought I was really losing it.
The other day I answered a thread that was a few years old.

Nope. 19T and even 18T are for quick speed runs, on pavement only. Stick with 13/54 for off road and a stock motor.
